I hate it when there is a pivotal emotional scene in a manga, and then the manga just jumps ahead to the next day. Did Akiko and Mari teleport from the karaoke place to their respective homes, as soon as they finished their kiss? I was waiting the entire chapter for a flashback to the immediate aftermath of the kiss. Instead, the author blue balls by not showing us the scene. She did the same with Mari's fake boyfriend, and whether or not they kissed at the fireworks festival. She's held that scene so long, that she forgot to do a flashback to it. By the time she gets around to it, most of the audience will have forgotten about it. Just tell the story in chronological order. So frustrating.
