the environment and animals is these types of manhuas are always so insanely hostile that it doesn't make sense how humans survived in the first place. It's now like they started with a city, so i find it hard to believe they survived while surrounded by stuff like acid grass and killer rabbits.

My guess is they used to live in "low-magic" areas and then expanded from there once they managed to grow a stronger fighting force.
