Eh, not really fan of "mutual agreement" tropes in these. It tends to be highly wishy washy with MC being constant simp for his ex party who literally abandon them. Also, his and his part has a MASSIVE 175 level difference. Someone better explain this otherwise MC is an idiot trying to reconcile with bunch of leeches. If exp is only gained through kills, then support/debuff/ (or traps in his case) skills might as well be nonexistant.

Yea like everyone said the parties garbage and so is the typical isekai this is BUT literally the only interesting aspec for me was that no one else was able to see the giant invisible hand with that OP spear and the goddess girl who looked evil (I'd imagine she could be the will of the dungeon or the dungeon itself) I'm curious if we will see more giant hands with weapons attacking the city in the future or if others actually also saw it....also trap master as a attack is interesting too sorta

Don´t know chief... it has a lot of things I don´t like in this type of stories:

- friendly separation: I´m here for the drama and revenge, also in this type of trope, the MC is always a bit of a simp for the former party.

- Random ass power up: He did not grew, he did not had a secret power or was shouldering the rest of the party at the cost of his own growth... nope, he got power because of deus ex machina, that makes the party´s decision of kicking him out the correct one, nothing is wrong with it... and if nothing is wrong with it... then the MC is not powerful, the skill is the powerful thing... worst than power fantasy.

- Making a powerful job look like is weak: a bit of time playing monster hunter will tell you that traps are... tricky, but really powerful. A trapper is not weak, is just that the skill curve is a bit harder... he either needs to do things solo or use the party to lure monsters to a minefield.

... Well is just the first chapter so it might be better, also is set in "present day" which I like so i want to give it a chance, just hope the dude is not too much of a simp for the former party... or that the party has a secret agenda, I would love a secret agenda

Title is definitely on the funnier end of these, goddamn. We're really scraping that barrel in 2025, huh? Can't wait until nuclear fission via arrows-facing-arrows.

On one hand, the writing seems a cut above typical isekai slop - the convo between him and Kou sets up a lot of info in not that many lines of dialogue. And the design of those gates is pretty nice.

On the other, the artist doesn't seem great at depicting action, so we might be in for a confusing ride.
Dress was pretty gross.

The translation seems like there's some gaps here and there. Page 24 for example. You want Don't You?
You want what? Power? UOOOOOOH TAKESHIIII SEEEEEEEEGGGS? Happiness?
I mean it just seems abruptly cut somewhere.

And also, clearly his power is already established to be crowd control and battlefield setup even before we get to his Arrow Trap. There's not enough to justify exactly why his power is considered of little value. If it was just the activation that's the issue, that's not a major issue. That's still a threat on the battlefield that the enemies are clearly aware of as seen by this low ranking monster. If it was still a threat that caused the battlefield to be controlled and the enemies to be funneled, the value of it is still incredible.

If the party breaks down just by his removal and they get surrounded, then we have confirmation that his trap were still threatening enough that despite a near 200 level gap, it was still meaningful. In that case then it was a matter of doing some grinding and funneling enemies into his traps.

We need more clarity. Is it the number of traps he can deploy? Is it that it actually doesn't do enough damage to begin with? As someone who enjoyed Tecmo's Deception series (and the one off Trapt on PS2), I can't help but think this is intellect and skill issue on both the MC and the party's part.

But hey, slop is slop. So when does he meet up with the random girl he bumped into who'll clearly be the main heroine again? Will his party consist of the typical 3 heroine harem, of which one of them is the leader who dumped him and returns back and decides to be subordinated to him?

And if anyone wants a good way of explaining things, worldbuilding, setup and actually mature reasonable characters, I would recommend "Welcome to the Impregnable Demon King Castle". It's a good read.

This MC dude is really in need of some imagination and ingenuity. Dude, if the enemy can avoid your trap, why don't you just envelope your entire body with trap and do kamikaze. Geez, a dude from Black Bull can do better job with his limited mana.

I was weak and pathetic, but then a literal dues ex machina made me the strongest, and I didn't even have to go through any character development!

I was kicked out of my party, but then I read too many underdog slop mangas, and now I am powered by pure hate! :dogkek:
I should become a manga writer, this is so easy!

It's like any other banished/underdog manga. But get this, the heroine is the one who banished our MC.
Trap Master is an oddly specific job class, like did you have skill other than setting a trap? Like taunt, teleport, or maybe even invisible?

Although this may yet be another generic "exiled from the heros party" manga, one thing I note that it does something different is that he's given an ability that uses his original ability. Unlike so many other manga of this same concept.

Couple of neat things in this, though the expulsion scene is on the weaker end of these. Really hope his frustration after being fired means he won't just happily rejoin once he fully masters his arrow gimmick. As others have mentioned, what we've been shown makes the old team seem douchey, even if he agreed to be fired.

Curious to see where we go from here.

Another manga that has an unnecessarily long title. Why does the title needed to be this long?
