think its power is limited to what people draw from it. our protagonist is the perfect vessel for him since he tenderizes the vessel to consume more forbidden knowledge, which gives blackie a stronger foothold to act without a vessel. every interaction loosens his chains a little more, which also explains why he became so weak in the modern age and why he regained strength after he worked with bookstore ownerDo we know where Blackie stands in regards to power rankings? Does it genuinely have power beyond everything else we've seen including the beings the customers witness from the grimoires?
Actual god level power(not just Deity tier, far beyond it)Do we know where Blackie stands in regards to power rankings? Does it genuinely have power beyond everything else we've seen including the beings the customers witness from the grimoires?

no offence but you absolutely murdered that paragraph with parenthesesActual god level power(not just Deity tier, far beyond it)
Whole lotta big spoilers ahead: Yesn't Blackie is just a fragment of Lin Jie's true self, the whole contract thing was just bs to allow him to grow his mental fortitude and sense of self so that when he remembered that he is an omnipotent, omniscient Outer God (not Elder God though, he's only a few thousand years old in this world (his true body is sleeping here) and he's the age he believes he is in our world, the time dilation is pretty extreme, Blackie is spreading his influence via the books so when Boss Lin wakes up and the Dream Realm recombines with the material world (originally they weren't separate) they won't try (and fail horribly before they even get the thought in their head) to attack him and also to make sure there's plenty of beings capable of being his friends without coercion or going insane, also so he can help make the world a better place without directly interfering)) he wouldn't lose his personality, emotions and empathy. ((He'll go numb for a while and just explore the ruins beneath the city for a while, haven't read past that) still pissed off that he didn't protect that kid though, especially after she took him in and hid him.)
Ik lol, I was half asleep at the time.no offence but you absolutely murdered that paragraph with parentheses
