Real shitty depending on how close it sticks to the web novel that was since deleted by the author. The noble tries to spike his drink and rape him but he avoids it with his skills and making her drink it instead so she passes out thinking they did the deed. At the time, he steals that fancy ass staff as payback.

She leaves next day without checking that the staff is gone so Shiro eventually plans to return it to the capital because he's a gigantic idiot. The real problem happens when that serial killer who ran into the dungeon ends up being revealed to be living in the dungeon killing adventurers and eating monsters to stay alive. Eventually she gets to the boss room and the boss is literally impossible to beat solo, because if it was some type of paired monster that if only one dies they multiply.

This leads to an eventual dungeon overflow where Cecily tries to be a hero and help, getting trapped inside and almost dying. Shiro goes balls out with every golem, magical item, and the god staff at his disposal and reveals his powers to everyone to save her. This causes him, Cecily, and the other two girls in her party to flee the island. They go to the secondary island for a while and then, for god knows what stupid reason, he ends up leaving Cecily and the other two behind as well going on a crossdressing streak alone through the countryside disguising himself as a female alchemist with his main goal being to return the godly staff that he stole from the rapey noble.

I kinda stopped giving a shit at that point but last I saw before it was left on hiatus for years before being deleted, some other younger noble was interested in him (disguised as a girl mind you) and wanted to keep him. I could be wrong here and there, but boy it's stupid and completely losees the aspect of the series. Which sucks, because the premise was really good beforer they started complicating it too much by putting the adventurers guild and more there.

I have the same feelings about the return of the staff. Like, what's the motivation behind it anyway? It's so bad.

New chapters follow a strange breakup with the girls - now he's chillin' at a rich people's inn near the hot springs, while peddling cosmetics (pretending to be a nobleman). He meets that cocky dragon rider there (one of the ones who discovered the island) and doesn't sleep with her, they just masturbate each other. I don't understand what the author's problem is...

so does the princess he originally romanced ever come back into the story? you'd think someone as important as her to both the world and to MC would have at least gotten a mention but so far we've not even heard a rumor or background chatter about her.

Hahahahahahahahahahahahaha. Of course they freaking can! For a good chunk of history nobles had every right to decide who lived and died. If you lived on territory they claimed ownership of, everything you owned was there’s, including your partner and kids.

Ummmm...yeah.... Nope... Not by a long shot.. And the ones that tried regularly ended up in "Accidents", or were "relieved of their position" outright. At least in old Europe, can't speak for Asia.

The last area in europe where at the end of the 19thC. things had devolved that far was the Russian Empire. And we all know how that ended...

The only other nation that attempted that level of control by the nobility before that was France. We all know how that ended...

Spain? Peasant revolts. England, multiple times, peasant revolts.
Holy Roman Empire? Very fragmented, but ... you guessed it... peasant revolts..

And that's even before the free cities put in their dime, like the dutch war of independence, several lovely little wars in Germany, etc...

As always... You may have posession of something, but that doesn't mean you can do whatever you please with it without consequence.
As the actual smart and effective nobles worthy of the name knew and heeded.
The other type... weeeeelll.... they did exist.. they never really lasted long... And provided the examples smart nobles heeded.

For a series that sold itself on a chill island life with waifus and a slow civilization progression (basically a power fantasy) the author sure loves forcing in shitty drama.

Like half of the chapters at this point are Shiro being forced or pressured into doing something he doesn't want to, and he just passively goes along with it all. It's lame.

Where are you reading the latest chapters?? I've read from novelupdates and that was stucked on chap 120, the one where he is already in a relationship with a Girl that specializes on making medicine but the story implies that she is a yandere.. also do you know what is the lastest chapters now on wn?

In regards to the future chapters, I think people got to used to this story not exactly being a story but more like a Smut or a slice of life.

The MC is basically solo leveling on the island and he has already met up with women on both sides.

The author is using the assassin woman in the dungeon and now this noble woman to remind the people that while they enjoyed smut, the Universe didn't change: men are still seen as property and second class citizens.

The author wants to move the story forward, they just do not have a lot of good ideas where to take a man with an army.

The MC could probably create a city by themselves.
