That's likely the case, given the mother's question about marriage, then the smile, then the daughter appearing, and then the daughter catching the bouquet, it all seems to just imply those two will go together.
While it may comes across as creepy, the age difference isn't actually huge between them (7 years); however if we assume they're 18 here, that means the daughter is currently 11... which is creepy if they're apparently eyeing each other at this time.

I think a bit more time has passed then the stated 12 years. By my math the former kids should be in their 20's. I think the artist never got the memo to age up the daughter.
