You're forgetting Raphael is one of the most powerful figures within the church, both in martial and political aspects, alongside the representative of one of their main political factions. Or was if he wasn't officially dead, something Raphael explicitly asked, to boot. If Zagan told her, a member of the church's Pope personal assassin unit, about Raphael being alive and serving as the butler to a sorcerer, who knows what kind of unholy mess would that cause.

The misunderstandings are tiring because there's no reason for them to not come forward and say things as they are, but this time there is a very powerful reason not to. So it's not so bad. Still the girl is definitely finding out.
