and suddenly he's as much of a threat as kamui and the machine dragon, yeah author is burning his food

Only threat not strong,
Like ragna and crimson we can consider in the same threat leve,
Ragna in power category and crimson in strategy category

Goat chapter. The break next month breaks my heart every time. I like this arc but I also want to get into the next arc right away. It's a weird feeling.

Well, I think he can only be as much of a threat as Kamui and Glest under the right condition, those two is one-man army and this guy can use the resources given to him to 100% potential.
Exactly, his disruption/obscuring spells and 3000 cannons would be useless in one-on-one fight against Ragna or those two. He's great buff- and disbuff-caster in war, and makes sure the real powerhouses are too busy putting out fires to attack him.

He's more like Crimson, who is also kinda weak in direct combat, but is great at plans that give Ragna best opportunity to kill dragons, like with Wind dragon or first battle in capital. High chance that Crimson is gonna make the mage cry in frustration, if the Sun Cult holds until deadline.

Mage dragon seems to be a former sun cult, meaning that he got to study the existant saints and planned countermeasures against them. Still Crimsom and Ragna are wild cards. Crimsom "power" in hissun cult persona is of a "somewhat" reliable seer, but is unlikely the mage dragon has devised measures against Crimsom himself, while Crimsom basically has knowledge about almost everything in the Roar Bloodline even if he doesnt know their exact plans (still can take an accurate guess based on experience and their personalities)

On Ragna case they dont really know what he can do but since they have the numbers advantage he uses the simple but effective "keep him pin down by drowning him in numbers and if its not enough send our best duelist from time to time to keep him even busier and dont let him rest to weaken him"

The pacing of this arc really highlights how annoying it would be to fight the Roars in a battle of attrition. It's like experiencing Houseki no Kuni's long hiatus while it was ongoing, and that sheer agony of waiting for a new chapter to finally drop really heightens the experience.

The theme is funnily consistent.
Sun cult throw in new challenger, dragons underestimating, got demolished
Then dragons introduced new challengers, cults underestimating, got demolished

What the fuck is Crimson planning
I call it.

Crimson will destroy the mage dragon's plan and then get rekted by Sigmalio.

There was a foreshadowing of Sigmalio realized Crimson is alive and proceed to planning already.

Crimson will have the stage to shine but he also need to get rekted, it will not be Ragna Crimson without Crimson's plan get rekted somehow.

I started reading this from the start (again) and I still can't understand what the fuck is going on with this story ever since the time dragon crazy bitch died, its a bunch of clusterfucks with a thin line of plot connecting everything.

So the rainbow saintess is actually a clone and once again the author is limiting Ragna but looks like our boy Crimson has something in the bag. Also is the author okay? The low page count and the break next month for a pacing this slow is worrying
Maybe not a clone, but next iteration?

It was stated in chapter 73. There used to be a ton of Rainbow Saintess' clones, but when the current generation was born all others killed themselves because they considered "the world only need one true Raksha."

By tradition, Crimson will brilliantly thwarted his enemy's scheme, only to get rekted unintentionally by his ally's action lol.

even if he himself is not, the king used to be a member of the sun cult so that might be where jizerka get intel

I expect Crimson to keikaku doori him to death in a humiliating way. It's such a ripe setup.

I'm really starting to wonder how the hell this seris is supposed to finish if it's this slow to progress, yet it's monthly. How many chapters will there be? I thought it would be relatively close to ending once Artemisia was killed, but apparently she's just one of seven bloodlines, and this is still only the second bloodline that they're stuck in battle with despite it being almost 8 years since release.
