To be fair, aside from the plot, the manga revolves around Hajime's systematic misunderstanding and Lily's systematic mishearing.

fan of the child rearing subgenre, but this one... isn't it. I mean, why make her become an adult at night? For no apparent reason? I guess it's meant to be a haha funny but it just doesn't strike me as that and instead just as weird, even when pretty much played for giggles

Sort of depressed that I look at another "old warrior meets cute kid" series, wearily look to the comment section to see that, just as I feared, the author is shipping them and it's paedophilia again.

Would be nice to have something focusing on a wholesome adoptive father-daughter relationship for once. But it feels like we're a hair's breadth from those just not existing in manga, period. (...Never gonna forgive the author of Usagi Drop XD)
