I hope these women learn that "sharing is caring" before the knives come out.
There is background talk about most men having multiple lovers and the government legalizing polygamy.Having seen the 1:39, I see what's wrong with this story: it makes no use of the 1:5 setting. Everything that's happened so far is completely plausible in the 1:1 world. The 1:39 is of course a joke setting and Kisa-sensei is taking it too far, but at least it delivers on the promise to show what would be different in a 1:39 world. But the 1:5 world is not different at all!
Could be many things tbhHow the hell did she not realize who he was
Mizuho is by far and away the most wholesome of the heroines in this series. It's legitimately not even close, and if anything the contrast is about to start getting a lot more stark in coming chapters. Especially since, as this chapter is really hammering home, Seira is fucking crazy. It is interesting to see the dynamics between the two. Mizuho is a girl that wants a pure love & has good intentions. On flip side we see Seira's possessiveness & toxic intentions which is the worst kind of person you can get. Right now Mizuho is best girl for me while Seira is all the way to the Earth's molten core in the rankings. Still wondering when the final girl will show up & hope she's not worse than Seira. Mizuho deserves to be happy & is a good friend to Koumi. Thanks for the translations.
Crying and no contact = blurry image, is how they describe it in the novel. How the hell did she not realize who he was
I believe the idea is that, in this 1:5 world, men have the "right" to be jerks. So the MC ends up being someone special simply for being kind to women. Also, in this world, women tend to be more aggressive, since they have to fight harder to get a man. Unlike our world, where it’s usually the man who needs to be more aggressive to get a woman.Having seen the 1:39, I see what's wrong with this story: it makes no use of the 1:5 setting. In the web novel, when Seira is introduced, Masato's legal guardian (who's also the proprietress of the host club) warns him in no uncertain terms to be careful of her. She tells him explicitly and pointedly that she believes Seira may be the type of woman who might hurt him, or worse, literally rape him.Reminder that this is actually a common occurrence in these professions, customers getting so clingy they think they can woo you and keep you, completely forgetting that every interaction is literally their job. Knowing that, MC should have some heavy duty pepper spray hidden around his apartment. Just in case the knives come out.
Re-read all the chapters so far, this might be the only chapter in which we don't get the gender ratio heavily reminded, since THIS chapter in particular could've honestly happened in a normal setting too, but every other chapter has started from the premise of [In this world, in which there are way more woman than men-] and that's what led to the basketball encounter -because most dudes are not interested in sports, just like how in our world most girls weren't interested in high school for example- and all the others.Having seen the 1:39, I see what's wrong with this story: it makes no use of the 1:5 setting. I think it's because yandere is more of a personality than a type of story. This chapter made me realize mangadex doesn't have a yandere tag (or any other tags of that type)
But it's often the funnest place to stick itDon't stick your dick in crazy, bro.
When the Smartest girl in the room has to be sidelined because she's too smart. In the web novel, when Seira is introduced, Masato's legal guardian (who's also the proprietress of the host club) warns him in no uncertain terms to be careful of her. She tells him explicitly and pointedly that she believes Seira may be the type of woman who might hurt him, or worse, literally rape him.
Maybe that line of dialog was cut from the manga for being too heavy-handed? Maybe it was to make Seira look nominally more sympathetic before she proceeds to immediately stalk Masato? I'm not sure, but I do know that she's a walking, talking red flag and Masato has been warned of the dangers she presents. Unfortunately, his trusting nature and wilfully ignorant disposition toward the differences between this new world and his own one are pivotal, defining elements of his personality and character arc moving forward.
