I think you're either being purposely obtuse or purposely misinterpreting my issue. I'm saying this is bad storytelling. Going through all this trouble to separate both canons is just bad writing. Needing a timeline to explain everything instead because their porn stuff was conflicting and people didn't understand the differences is just bad writing. That's it. It was just criticism on the author. No one cares if she makes money on her porn but when it comes to storytelling people will give their opinions. And criticism doesn't equal anger.
Look, I wasn’t trying to be hostile to you, and if you interpreted it that way then I’m sorry, but I don’t see the need for hostility.
Maybe I didn’t fully understand your point, but my point is that I don’t think it’s bad storytelling when the serialized version of a story differs significantly from the pre-serialization. That’s what’s happened here and I think that’s normal.
I also emphasized before that a lot of this confusion stems from people comparing the canon serialized story to their explicit fanbox content which most people shouldn’t even have access to, and which doesn’t have any bearing on the current story.
I personally don’t understand why people are upset at the author because they can’t make that distinction. The author is serialized now so if that content was relevant to the story then it would appear in the story and not be hidden behind a paywall.
They are also not the first author I’ve seen who’s done stuff like this which is part of why I’m so surprised by the overall negative reaction as I’d expect more people to be used to this stuff.
Finally, yes, criticism is not the same as an anger, but only if they’re objective. If the criticisms come down to subjective opinions like not liking this direction of storytelling then they’re motivated by negativity and not constructive.
