... and then Niihama-kun woke up

I wanted a black ending though, like when they teased the MC was still in the black company.

Man what a letdown. I know it's to promote the light novel, but at this point I have to wonder, are the people reading the manga actually the one who will change to the light novel? I mean I read manga because I want to have pictures and don't want to read to much, so I feel like I'm not even the same target group (i know some people don't see it that way, but still...)
Well, maybe I'm just disappointed that we have yet another story, where will never see the end...

Bruh. Had such a mega bruh moment :oooo:
Anyway, the manga was nice, but it's so not the type of novel I'd read, so I guess this is how the story ends for me :haa:

I get they want to promote the LN, but sometimes the manga is better. I don't get why they don't follow through with doing an entire adaptation a lot of the time.

Alr, I'll give. I have been looking for smth new to pick up so I guess I'll read the LN lol. I refuse to buy it tho. How dare these publishers give this peak fiction the axe.

Is this course of action a lil misguided tho? Have there been instances of manga adapations being successful enough that they break away from the original plan of being doomed to just be ads? Had this manga been supported from the get go (via having good sales) would it have been saved?

Fun read, but not surprised it got axed. It felt like it was running out of ideas by like chapter 7. I can appreciate what we got tho.

Great, now how is this supposed to work for the English release that started earlier this year? a bunch of people will now buy the incomplete story and if nobody licenses the LN by the end.. then what? back to the high seas?
Why is there even an assumption that a significant portion of the manga readers will want to bother with the LN to begin with?

Now assuming that this was axed due to poor sales, what's really annoying is that even if everyone would put money on the table and buy the English release in-spite of everything, nobody in Japan would still give a rat's ass about any future manga continuation of any form. Not even an OEL one (if that was ever a thing).

The only thing that i could see them encouraging by giving a decent adaptation like this the axe, is for someone pissed enough to eventually start their own doujinshi adaptation out of spite.
