No, she just stopped idealizing sex and realized it's not going to fix the deeper issues, and she's right. You can want sex and acknowledge that it's not the end all be all of your existence. Which, yeah, is a healthy outlook.

The main body & soul is already obsessed with sex, and now that she got a whole new body she also inherited the obsession... but for different reasons. The main 25 years old body wants sex as it was idealized with confidence and masculinity (in his eyes), but the girl part of him denied that idealism, and to fill the hole, she puts sex as sex with no feelings attached, just to deny her past mistakes...
Maybe being young again gives her some boost in confidence to face her cynical old self.

I don't disagree with what you're saying, his big failure is letting one misfortune drag down his whole life (and try to bring down others). Deserved a beating for that certainly.
What I don't like that in the manga the response to the incel is that sex as an expression of love doesn't exist and/or doesn't matter.
I mean, i love my parents and i could pay a prostitute for sex but the sum of that isn't equivalent to having a girlfriend.
It's like we're on the other end of idealising sex. Which would be 'trivialising' i guess. That's why i called it materialistic

I think she's saying it's irrelevant to HER desire for sex rather than globally. She even preface that she wants to experience love and community and she still has a lot to unpack.

I dunno, I feel like even if she's overcorrecting in the near term, decoupling her self worth and having sex is a huge step forward, and as she gains experience she'll like change her view as well.

... honestly, I didn't think we'd get here from the fucking trainwreck of a beginning, sad to see it axed go before the author could really cook.

Man I wish this was allowed to go on for longer, cause the author clearly was prepping something good here, but now they have to rush to the end.

I don't know that that's the case, it feels like a very self-contained story based around one character's singular arc, and all their other works have been short too. I mean maybe it was cancelled, but I think it was intended to be brief from the start. Not every series benefits from being dragged out.

With everything built around a single realization that needs to happen, once it does it's over.
