Alfred Nobel was getting on in years, and it was claimed that he had died; inaccurately, but the initial source was reputable.
A newspaper ran his obituary, and referred to him as "Alfred Nobel, the Merchant of Death, has finally passed on," and he couldn't believe how terrible he sounded (and who wants to read their own obituary, and see a bunch of hate?).
I mean, he was rich, famous, had created chemical marvels, influenced the future in his own time, and done great and amazing things for mining, railways, industrial processes, and even helped make "mass construction" possible!
But the obituary only mentioned that tri-nitro toluene (TNT), and the byproduct nitroglycerine, was good at blowing people up.
(Which it definitely is good at)
So, he decided (like Bill Gates, Warren Buffet, and NOT the Muskrat) to give away his money, and to reward people for creating "Peace."
The final page has no lies, I just think the fact that he read his own obituary was pretty interesting; dude thought he was belovéd, and he was wrong.... but he actually tried to change, and didn't just try to scream like a baby and demand that everybody pretend to love him.
What a great baseline of marginal decency, right?
He acted like an adult with a small amount of human decency, and that is uncommon in today's age.
