The art is very good in the way it's used, which is different from just being beautiful.
It's original framework is still perceptible in the multiple styles the art is employed, making all the possible changes in a one sequence skit coherent, while still displaying the different forms very clearly, which ensure the gag will be easy to understand, giving it a higher chance to get well received. And it works.

Very good so far, will keep reading to see how things will play out.

Finally. A genuine slice of life. Its so refreshing to read something that has every part of life in it. We have romance (both blooming and failed), its definitely at the root of the all the events we see, yet it's never "in your face" like most other SOL rom-com. The best part about Star Ginseng Store is easily how it handles relationships between characters, friendship, rivalry, etc. ALL gets time to shine here and it all has great balancing.

Slow burn romance/ SoL, but the good kind. Feels natural and you see the characters becoming closer friends, I like that the 2 different friend groups are starting to integrate.

Also despite having a large amount of characters I like pretty much all of them which is rare, I usually hate having lots of characters in the story.

Upon finishing S1 (up to ch 144) I still have yet to find out what the title has to do with the story.

Now that I’m current (up to the hiatus ch 216) I decided to look it up.

“Star Ginseng Store” is a verbatim translation of star 23 shop (*23#). Apparently in Korea, dialing people with the prefix \*23# would hide your caller id, and people around the timeframe of this story would use it to anonymously ring their exes or love interests.
