strangling is a slow death indeed because of one thing. human necks are rather sturdy and thick. it is faster to slash the throat or stab it. but i do wonder if these can be done quietly too?
I was assuming the rope was just a way the author tried to convey a kidnap attempt since an alive important figure is always more useful than a dead one.
Even with weapons restriction killing a person with such closeness sadly is so easy that no rope is needed, and even a good applied chokehold can be almost soundless or make the person faint in seconds.
30 seconds is a lotta time don't let people tell you otherwise!!
but i do wonder if these can be done quietly too?
A slit could be a bit if you make it big enough to make the person asphyxiate with the blood, most would think there is a person
coughing, a puncture in the lungs would be practically dead silent, pun intended.
