It was nice a strong 7/10.
Romance is unrealistically pure (in two years they barely held hands together).
I do wonder if japanese government (censure) and publishing companies with mangakas want Japanese demographics to go to 0.50 and lower.
Getting too fast and too strongly into relationship is a bad sign but they decided to do 180* and make it unrealistically slow. Isn't it better to show kids that it's okay to make some steps forward and inform them about the use of contrecapatives and normalise it? Instead they create content that doesn't give any guiding light what to expect or how to treverse the relationship. They get the idea on how to become a couple but no idea what to expect or how to progress relationship. Result? Japanese pestilence of herbivore man.
MC is a weird herbivore man. There are no tips and tricks how to become man like or how to get "better".
FMC is just a weird "Marry Sue". Ultra strong, ultra competent and etc.
My grind with this? Overused troupe of a weak herbivore doormat like man being "valued" by his commitment and subpar skills. Not to mention overused troupe of comedy where a guy is always a butt of every joke.
What's so grinding about this? Unrealistic representation of the true world i.e. completely lacking in any beneficial information.
With a story like this and characters like that you open the flood gates of "bad ending" for their future if you really think about it and add "real life" world building.
All in all it's a nice read but very misleading and damaging if you don't have or have not enough experience in real life. Why am i concerned about this? Look at our stats and younger generations, they are grown from books, movies and tv series(shows) they go out into the world with those misleading believes about relationship and love. Some "alpha" guys and "feminist" gals write apologies after their train has left of how damaging and misleading their messeging was while normal people who were mislead lost and damaged their 20's so much that it will take another 20 years to mend it.
Japan is on a highspeed train towards a wall of economic and demographic crisis and this manga just proves that they are still slumbering and do not understand (or are not willing to aknowledge) the cause of their problems.
For us Japan is a canary in the mine they are heading there where we are headed but they are a few steps ahead.
EDIT: Why i'm writting so much and about this. It's a sort of activism, i understood if i continue to sit and say nothing things will not change or get only worse. I don't want to sit on the ruins of our civilization and say i did nothing to mend it. For 1000 people my words are emty husks but maybe at least 1 will take those words to heart and start changing in a more positive light. I do this in internet as well as in real life. This is not virtue signaling this is a warning if you sit and do nothing expect the world to change on the whims of other people.
