Chapter 5.5 suggests there aren't notable detrimental withdrawals, just cravings. That said it seems that the hardened nectar candy was still partially there in his body, so it could have been very slow decline in amount, or it could be that any significant withdrawals happens after that and don't get mentioned. Personally I'm inclined to think it's just cravings due to it being incredible, rather than having harmful withdrawal symptoms.
