Using your fucking words to communicate. What a revolutionary idea.Completely agree. I hate this sort of lame "twist/forced drama" but at least the author did it in a fairly natural way. I just hate how its happening when their relationship is already under a bit of strain. And also that its very clear this isn't going to be solved next chapter by the two of them actually communicating.
Adding this to Kaho's entry in my characters.txt file:For once the wording actually completely makes sense. She has that terrible habit of being unintentionally lewd and he wants to tell her his feelings without "using" their temporary relationship to satisfy his love. Just really bad timing.
Usually misunderstandings have really dumb wording but this does fit, quite frustrating though 😅
ive read the novel it’s based on and basically after this misunderstanding trope, they eventually break up. Christmas time comes around and she’s worried he doesn’t like her anymore/wants to break up with her and is hesitant about meeting him for their final Christmas date. She has some girl time with her friends and she decides even though she’s scared, she’ll still meet him up and tell him how she feels. She bakes a cake for him for their Christmas date and goes to their meet up spot. He calls her and tells her can’t meet her anymore because a bunch of workers caught the flu and he needs to stay back to work. She says it’s ok. After the call ends, she starts overthinking about everything and gets upset. She starts crying and starts to eat the cake meant for Takumi. His male friends happen to walk by and see her. They comfort her and Kotaro offers to walk her to the train station. He had already texted Takumi about it so as soon as Takumi got a break for work he rushed over to meet her. Misunderstandings ensue and she’s upset and she dumps him and runs home crying. New years rolls by and they’re still broken up. They’ve been avoiding eachother at school. Then Valentine’s Day happens and long story short, they get back together and finally communicate the misunderstood conversation she overheard. He told her the truth was her “bad habits” were how erotic the things she would sometimes say were and how he couldn’t handle it. 😂 and he finally told her he realized he loved her and wanted their Christmas deadline to end so he could ask her to be his real girlfriend. Anyways they clear up any misunderstandings and get back together. They finally kiss too after he showed her the valentines cake he baked for her. The very last chapter is a fast forward to the next Christmas year and how they’re spending it together.
I’ll be honest, the series started off strong and ended kinda mid. It’s still cute and I still love them tho. I’m still excited to see it portrayed in the manga.
