This scene does not happen in the WN funny enough. in the WN version, after hearing that Allen is dead, she basically loses all hope and shuts her soul out, practically becoming vegetitive. After Allen rescues her, she remained like that until her birthday when allen gifted her a sword that breaks her free from that state.

Spoiler: Something tells me this is getting a "Manga Change"

Knowing how Manga SOMETIMES adds stuff that shouldn't be for the sake of Drama or whatever to scenes! It might be that they're showing the sword to JUSTIFY her coma later, like Allen gets there, kills the Prince and the Torturer, but now has to fight a semi-brainwashed Ana, Semi cause the gang-rapes meant to mentally break her didn't happen, so she still has SOME hope in her heart and this causes her to RESIST full possession and break free at the cost of going comatose! Or even BETTER, by the time Allen gets to her, she already beheaded the two POS who underestimated their control, hope she stabs baldy in the stomach as he described in his lie about Allen's death just for irony sake and he has to get her to REMEMBER herself, they're heads already cut off so all he has to do is package them and then the "Indian Jones and the Ark of the covenant" scene where he's chased back to his plane at the start of the movie by Natives happens like in the Novel (hopefully REMOVING that stupid "instant kill" Crossbow bolt that was fired at him. The one that was suppose to kill him even if it nicked him! I found that NEEDLESS to add to the escape back in the Novel)

he pops up last minute and pops the Imperial Prince and the bald creep, kills bald creep last when he makes a vile comment about her being unsalavagable and only good for baby making with a case of bullet to the head. Cuts their heads off before carrying Ana back to the Plane while being Chased, Narrow escape. But I'm thinking they may have her get corrupted Slightly and attack for DRAMA!

Anna is way too gullible
She knows what Allen is capable of but still bought some shady man's claims.
Later she regrets that and grows from it.

Lots of spoilers below.
I'm going off of memory here from the WN, but after Allen gets a few more (brutal) victories, the wyvern duo finally figure out the location of Ana. Allen immediately bolts straight to the location, decapitates the prince and some other high official (idr the title) and rescues Ana who is in a vegetative state due to locking her soul to prevent it from being corrupted by the sword.
After rescuing Ana, Allen participates in even more battles and makes a name for himself. Once the war ends, the King summons Allen and the Duke goes with him. The King tries to make up some bullshit about how Allen is his "royal adventurer" to take full credit and decides that only becoming a Knight is a good enough reward for Allen, even though there's past precedent for granting full nobility status. Allen and the Duke are rightfully pissed at the notion, and flee when the moronic King orders them to be killed for treason.
Once they flee the castle, the Duke decides to split off his dukedom into a new kingdom. Allen warns his adventurer friends (remember them? it's the same group from when he grew up!) to leave the capital since war is certainly going to break out between the kingdom and the soon-to-be-kingdom. War ensues with Allen bombing the shit out of the enemy forces repeatedly. Ana is still comatose, and on her birthday, Allen gives her the sword he got from the ice dungeon (iirc?) a while back. The sword ends up acting as a sort-of "key" to break Ana free from her coma.
I can give more spoilers, but that's the gist of the next few major events.

Let me add some details

Duke had Allen under his jurisdiction as an adventurer
King tried to claim Allen as his but papers denied him wrong
Then Duke reminded him King promised anything to Allen if he succeeded rescuing Anna but then pretended to be stupid by saying that wasn't a big deal, it should have been something bigger.
Duke asks "bigger like killing the crown prince or their military minister?"
King answers"yes that!" Then Duke brings out the heads of the two mentioned.
King gets pissed off because how dare the duke not tell him the full story, duke back replies something like "well you didn't let me finish because you refused to give Allen a noble title lol" King got pissy baby mode because he also got reminded because Duke asked him if the ones stealing the royal seal got punished yet (the culprit was his son but he already knows that and tried to push it under the rug)
Then ordered the prime minister to capture the duke for treason, albeit the prime minister was a reasonable guy who had the misfortune of having to work for Nepotism Dad the King so he had to obey him.
The Allen casts off his stealth mode because he was there the whole time and helped the duke escape.

Yeah. All the novel readers were claiming he would be commiting a ton of warcrimes.

I was expecting him to mix poison or plagued corpses into his frozen bombs.
Some truly heinous crap. Instead we get ice bombs and mines.

These novel readers are disappointing me now. They spent so much effort to hype us up to only fail to live up to the hype.

Afaik Allen gives them 5 days to evacuate before he launches his attack.
Some people who heard of Allen left the enemy cities but there's plenty of them who don't buy it so once the date is due Allen steels himself and showers military and civilians alike with with magical fire bombs reducing the whole cities to rubble. Nobody survived. Bodies destroyed beyond recognition.

The enemy countries got shit scared and some protested it was unfair of him to kill that many people.

Less Gullible and more tortured via isolation! To be fair I suffered something like that when I got picked up for questioning by the police. Isolated me for hours and then fed me garbage crap like my mother making accusations against me or whatever, none was true, but I was SO checked out and DONE that I ALMOST fell for it! They really are telling the truth on how they use the isolation tactic on you if they can get away with it (The reason WHY you need a lawyer, they WILL abuse what they CAN do to you if they can within the law!)

Ana's been isolated for a good MUCH of time, the POS is her ONLY access to ANY type of information, and she IS aware he could be giving BULLSHIT information, but remember, she's been there for a LONG TIME, they can't harm her, hence going the LONG way of isolating her. Isolation can do things to one's psyche (hence the story above I just said, I would be like you with that opionion if I haven't already experienced a LIGHTER version of what she's being put through! The idea is to let your imagination and anxiety do the work of wearing you out, mine was from a couple of hours though, her's is months or so! Remember that the POS DID get away with his actions in the OG story, her family is killed! She KNOWS what Allen is capable of, but not FULLY and Allen is MORTAL. The shady asshole KNOWS if it was EARLIER, his lie would be seen through, especially as they would want his head to HAUNT her with, which is why he bluffed, the idea of waiting to tell her family and lover's "fates" is to speed up the process of her mind weakening! I think however he underestimated just how strong willed she is. Likely they QUICKEN the Possession BECAUSE Allen has been wrecking havoc on them during the process of finding Ana that they want to throw her AT him and the Kingdom as fast as possible (likely the idea was the ASS King would have wiped her father and family already. Since that hasn't happened, and the King can only BULLSHIT so long to protect his son, they essentially KIDNAPPED her! OFFICIALLY on paper and they can't delay any further, hence needing her brainwashed, but as said, cause her will isn't GONE, it's liable to backfire on them trying to rush the process (which wasn't rushed in the OG story because of what she went through, WITHOUT Allen's helping her character development to stop pursuing the loser prince and preventing her "humilation" cortesy of the asshat forcing a 4 v 1 duel on her like a coward! Best this did was show how CHARMLESS he is to others! Where in the OG story because Ana was DESPERATE to win him back to not disappoint her father, she made the duel and the coward could play "substitute" in the story, FORCING her to do it THEN pull the switch a roo assured his BAD traits are seen front and center, damaging his reputation! Cause I FUCKING HATE how the story TRIES to paint him as a victim of that WITCH, when OG story and his father's BEHAVIOR who WASN'T Influenced by the WITCH and it's clear he was ALWAYS like that make it CLEAR that the Prince was ALWAYS A POS. It's just thanks to Allen, he's not getting away with his horrid actions like before where he PULLED a Karma Houdini (he STILL hired those Rogues into kidnapping and raping Ana in the OG story, so no he was NEVER a good person, his end fate in the ALLEN Timeline is VERY fitting! His father too for being a MASSIVE enabler just as vile if not more then his SPAWN!)

Spoiler: Ana's "Growth"

Ana "grows" in that she's going to be comatose for a GOOD while after this when Allen saves her. My guess is the Writer for the Manga feels things were TOO smooth in the Novel, so likelihood is she gets POSSESSED, but the Hairpiece protecting her, and her will as she wasn't gang-raped into insanity and her relationship with Allen assured she fell out of love with the POS prince charmless, meaning being "thrown away" by him wasn't as traumatizing mixed with the gang-rape! And foreshadowing for her SAINTESS Awakening as well! She'll be possessed, then Allen comes across her as she KILLED the Prince and the bald POS or injured the latter so he can make his "vile comment" and get "headshot" by Allen. Allen will struggle with her as the possession has her in "fight or flight" attacking ANYTHING near her! But Allen brings her back, which breaks her free, but puts her in her "canon" coma! Hopefully it won't be TOO long she is in it, we already have to deal with it taking too long to even GET done with this arc after all. Also means she ALWAYS had the potential to be a Saintess, likelhood is the WITCH kept acting like a Witch that she lost her CHANCE to be a Saintess, her power however stems from her OLD powers now stripped from her still letting her keep SOME power at least instead of a FULL taking away! Too bad her powers don't work like a D&D Paladin/Cleric where pissing off your DEITY results in losing ALL your Divinity/Powers from say Deity!
