Hello??? Have you ever met the Japanese???? Yesterday alone, I read three stories where the MC was stood in front of his love interest WHILE SHE WAS STARK BOLLOCK NAKED!!!!! and all three of them couldn't even look at them, let alone touch them.

If my love interest turned out to have bollocks I would also hesitate.

From reading the LN I found that Yuuta slightly hinted at having some feeling for Mahiru, but it was a small paragraph in the LN so I hope nothing will come of it (yet).

think it like how kind Gojo kun and Marin class. they just being considerate toward him since they can sense he put a barrier not out of hate but out of fear
(judging by how his friend described him as a cat in previous chapter mean he does it to everyone, yet he will reach out to help other like what he did to mahiru in first Chapter. so everyone know he's deep down good)

It’s probably a few reasons why he keep his watch on Amane, not only because Amane’s a good person by heart, but also is too cowardish to make a move that even he noticed Mahiru’s loneliness. He admires the perfection she has, he respects her position, and he’ll really really hate if Amane’s literally the one who will make Mahiru cry. “You know damn right I can’t take her for myself thanks to you but please make it right” is probably how he thinks of Amane at that moment.

That aside, I kinda like every new reader’s impressions of Yuuta. It’s normal to think of the normal tropes. It works for the story for that expectation to happen.

However, I’ll be quite pissed if anyone downrates this manga when they think Yuuta isn’t making a move for the drama or whatever

I agree, this sweet story probably won't have any three-way romance drama.
