Cute premise, not that much substance tho so far so ill wait a few chapter before commiting.
Thanks for the tl!
Sidenote: whenever k see common tropes like "the student council guy everyone is afraid of" or "the school idol" etc, i wonder if something like that ever actually happens in japan. Certainly didnt happen for me or anyone i know but surely it has to come from somewhere, or it wouldnt be so common, right?

I get that tastes are a cultural thing and all that, but there's just something about phrasing a legitimate compliment as "her face is so small!" that comes across as profoundly weird to me.

I sometimes get the impression that mangaka do a lot of their "research" for characters and plot structures based on other manga rather than anything real. It's not that these tropes existed with such specificity and intensity in real schools, it's that somewhere along the way some manga used versions of them for their characters, got popular, and then every high school SOL/rom-com afterwards took that for inspiration and continued to perpetuate those archetypes with them also getting exaggerated, streamlined, and flanderized along the way until they took root in the forms we are familiar with, continuing to spread and be repeated not because they reflect reality, but because they reflect what manga authors/publishers/audiences believe these sorts of series are "supposed to" do.

Because that is the other thing: The manga industry is "follow the leader" in a way that I don't even think Hollywood reaches the obsessive strictness of. The way there are always so many copycats and so few series that think to be original or to subvert or deconstruct the standard tropes of their genre always makes me believe that the vast majority of manga would rather do exactly the same story as everyone else because it's what's expected of them and is "the correct way" to do it than try to get attention and acclaim for doing something interesting and different.

Was going to wonder if the MC truly was the only one who had the dream and made her up in it, but I guess the author nipped that in the bud by having that fact out in the open. Will be interesting to see how things go, just have to hope that there won't be any harem elements on the way since the main couple is obvious.

"This is the shrine that brought us together!" (Page 38)
Looking at the couple in the phone reminded me of the Special Feelings meme.
