Hmm, I think I get it, this "Loa" must be the source of the abilities.

We know that abilities are not related to the soul, but were under the impression that it was related to the body, however, she is able to transfer the ability to a different body.

I guess MC may find a way to steal abilities permanently without killing the user.

Edit: Went to check, and the term "loa" is written as ROA in Katakana, meaning that this is a unique word and we have no idea or hint on what it may mean.

Edit 2: Also, she speaks a lot of English (in katakana), so some of the stuff like "Repeat after me" and "Say", she expresses in English
Edit 3: May be related to "loa", something related to Vodou, as pointed here: https://forums.mangadex.org/threads...chi-no-nai-gakuen-ch-21.2311719/post-26628042

HA....that joke's actually true. Japanese media and casual talk is filled with "Based on a study from <insert ivy league here>..." or "American scientists claim that..." There's a lot of trust in western research and academia, particularly American. Or it might be more accurate to say Japanese like to conflate "western" and "american" and actually its America they really trust. And it's used in fricken' everything, from talk shows, to a major plot beat of a show, to ads, to two guys at a bar arguing over some meaningless thing.

In other Asian countries (except China obviously) there's an ironic similar effect, just replace "American" with "Japanese".

This product is Japanese made! That drink has a Japanese lab formula! This new health plan is backed by a Japanese study! (actually all made/sold/run by folks from China with a Japanese label)

Good theory and that's something I can get behind. If Hiroto can steal abilities, he doesn't have to worry about finding enough loyalists to help him take control of any bodies that he needs to survive. He doesn't have to soul rip his stepsister; just steal her OP abilities and win. If Hiroto can transfer the stolen abilities to a suitable host, he can use the host defend himself instead of only relying on Narisawa to protect him against any threats.
