i have a question though because i was pretty surprised to see that these chapters are still going. is the author releasing it like they do with webtoons, where there's a web version and a book version? because usually with japanese manga authors stop publishing the web or doujin version and just stick with the official chapters.

AFAIK yes, they're releasing both. They actually just increased their Twitter pace from every Friday to now every Tuesday and Friday, but I'm not sure which version is ahead atm

Calling it now, it's her brother who's gonna get a crush on crossdressing Amata(?, I'm terrible with those names), then at some point he'll learn it's actually a guy but will still crush on him, pushing Amata to officalize his feelings for Aki/Hanku.
