It is actually incredible how easy our MC is.

If we ignore the fact that he intended to use his sister for a political marriage, I would say the demon crown prince doesn't seem wicked enough to be a villain in this series. And he seems to have two or more braincells, which is definitely too much for an antagonist in this manga.

It is better for Lisa not to be tied down by the empress position anyway.

I kinda wish the author would make up their mind about whether Cain is much older and has a mindset to match or if he's a bumbling awkward kid. Doesn't he have like two lifetimes of experience by now not even counting his super extended training?
I think he was just a middle schooler in his first life, different from most other series with high schooler or adult MCs. And apparentely he hasn't yet surpassed his original mental age

Ah yes the four cardinal Demon Kings... Set, Ignis, Agus... and Denny. He's got a fabulously successful chain of faux diners.

you forgot the very obvious twist that the prince was clearly the one who poisoned him so that he could steal the throne for himself

Also not a spoiler just seems pretty obvious
Alrighty, so both of these people's speculations are wrong. To start with, the crown prince is purely trying to marry the princess to that demon lord (forgot which one, but I thiink it's Dennis. Maaybe Ignis, but I think it was Dennis.) as a political marriage in exchange for support because the demon lord demanded it as a condition to do so. Meanwhile, the demon lords on the sideline, pretty sure it was both of them but might've been just one, are/is in "cahoots" with that demon lord masterminding it all.
I think the reason that demon lord wants the princess, is because he wants a legitimate claim to the throne; or it might've just been because he finds her beautiful, don't remember which it was.

Anyway, so that demon lord (can't remember which) is the main antagonist this arc, who wants to overthrow the existing monarchy and take over as the ruler of all of the demons. Dennis leads the most militarized mini-country out of the four of them iirc.
Cain on the other hand, ends up needing to show his strength and fights 'em. That mastermind demon lord however, won't accept the outcome since it completely interferes with his plan to become the next ruler; so that demon lord ends up using a drug that's special to the demon race, which they think is just a drug to increase their power but is in actuality a kind of fragment of Aaron, and the demon lord ends up overdosing it. It makes it so Aaron takes over the body of that demon lord, and so Cain defeats him.

Meanwhile, the demon king who's still asleep, will never be healed by Cain. He's basically forgotten at this point. Yuuya appears and also won't heal the demon king, and just talks about how he had been keeping tabs on Aaron's fragments and this time was felt like he better prepare to interfere if the need arises. The demon prince and princess talks about how Yuuya had been part of the demon royal family's historical records, and that Yuuya is revered by them, and so on.
At this point, after Cain had done all this fighting and the antagonist had been defeated, the prince agrees with the princess that she needs to follow Cain back to the kingdom in order to create an alliance with him as a wife.

The prince was always just a bureaucrat who tried to solidify his position as the new ruler. He was never antagonistic, and it was never even hinted that he would be the one who did something to the demon king. He was really just a politician and a bureaucrat.

The reason why the demon king is asleep was never mentioned, and since he had basically been forgotten about in the story at this point he's also never healed. The prince takes over without opposition since the antagonist faction had been defeated, and so the princess follows Cain back to the human kingdom and then surprise the human king with the new proposed marriage.

This is when the next arc begins.
I really don't recommend reading this if you don't want to know what happens in this arc. But it's the arc after this which is my favorite.

You have to click on the spoiler tag in order to read what's in the spoiler tag. But I really don't recommend it if you don't want to know what happens in this arc as a whole.

When Cain summoned Set before, Set could check Cain's status and kneeled down immediately. And now, among the entire demon race, no one else can do that, conveniently.

Damn, I really wanted him to flex this chapter, but it looks like we’ll have to wait for the next one. This one was basically all fluff and set up for the next few. I’m glad Set is such a bro though, even if it only means this is a matter of existing for him.

Next chapter will probably be shitting on Cain constantly until he does a show of force in a duel or something. Then he will win and then someone plots to assassinate him, etc etc.

Thanks for the translation!
