Anime was lukewarm. I had hopes for the manga. And at some point I thought hopes were met with exceeding force. But no, it ended in a dud.
Also, is his mom still alive? Does he not care, especially when he inherited her memory with her mana?

I like how the Oda Nobunaga being the demon lord subplot never really went anywhere.

I don’t mind that much.

I think it’s neat when other characters (that are not the MC) have protagonist-like backstory/situations

This manga has to be an inside joke from the artist and publisher to see how retarded you can make the battle scenes before you're forced to cancel it. Page upon page of closeups of ugly CG orcs or random shit exploding, with zero dialogue and no shots that give a good perspective of the battle to understand wtf is actually happening, and literally no dynamic movement expressed in the art. Even the one-on-one fight scene at the end is just a mess, the guard gets taken out in a closeup with a strike from... something, no idea if that's supposed to be a punch or whatever, but it's coming from the left - however the pose of black shirt guy in the next panel looks like he threw a right punch (left foot forwards, right shoulder to the front). At least the retarded art matches the rearded story.

I guess the one positive thing you can say about this trash is that it makes battles in Kingdom seem like absolute perfection, and that manga has teleporting generals, 77 layers of "I knew you would do that", and multitrack drifting horses.

Really makes one wonder how well the Manga sold in Japan.
I mostly read this one for the laughs and venting about the dumb tactics/strategies or the MC just having an empty stare contest when his army got decimated many times.

Sad that the dumb ride is gonna end. But this rushed and crashing ending is quite telling.

This started with such an incredible premise but began floundering a little while afterwards. So many subplots still open and never really got too many explanations for so many issues.

I’m not glad it’s ending but I was just hoping it would be a little more clear in its intent throughout the series.

I've followed this series for five years; read the novel and wbn, it's not unexpected that it would get the axe. But, still... a bit of a letdown.
Civ building/strategy isekai hardly goes far before nonsense plot points and harem rolls in. ( ͡ಠ ʖ̯ ͡ಠ)
So, I was kinda liking the grind of this one.
