At this point I really should just drop this garbage and be done with it.
Not only the story moves at the speed of one centimeter per year, I can't say the dialogues or action are any worth of discussion or mention. Like I can get slowburn, I don't need gore every single chapter, but you can write characters talking to each other and make it incredibly interesting (older Berserk arcs, like Black Swordsman, Golden Age, Conviction etc).
I was so happy when the island got nuked and Casca got kidnapped, but after that milking begun and there's no sign it's going to stop.

Gaga/Mori either completely don't know where to go with the story, they have no idea how to reach the ending Miura envisioned or they've been asked by editors / higher-ups to stretch this shit as far as possible. So yeah, GL with that..

I feel like I'm reaching my personal breaking point with this manga when I start noticing stupid shit like P. 13-14 where the big guys have to open the doors with great effort and pages later they just close on their own like in some shitty movie for dramatic effect.

PS: just venting a bit, all cool no need for downvotes

Do people really remember Miuras Berserk when they say this pacing here is slow? We get a bit of progress every chapter. The Kushan arc moves very fast to me. Sure this chapter was a bit of a breather and I understand not much has happened and we wait long but a good story is not highlight after highlight. Look at this in the long run. When we read this in a volumes, it flows much better. Any faster and the story would feel unnatural. If anything, I'm happy Mori doesn't add unessesary stuff. Pretty sure we wouldn't be at this point yet if Miura drew it.

I wonder if they've given more information off screen, because even in his current state I'd expect a slightly bigger reaction from Guts being led to a tomb for ritualistic sacrifice, especially since he's aware of Puck and Isidro being there. Also Puck's surprisingly easy surrender to the situation, not even trying to speak with Guts, and them sharing a look at the end makes me think it's probably some spiritual test which could either kill Guts or, who knows, grant him power.

Yeah, pretty much this. People forgot we're now getting the bullet point version of the story. Mori did say he wasn't going to add anything he wasn't told and Miura most certainly didn't leave them several books of instructions on what panels should look like or who says what.

I dont think that s the case, I think it s even the opposite.
Every interaction between characters would be really interesting but wouldn't make the story itself progress, only deepen the characters. And that's a part of berzerk that we want but I think Mori just want to describe the pure story and end of berzerk. As he said, he doesn't want to go out of the note of Miura. All the contrary to stretching it as far as possible.
Of course, it means that the story and characters won't be as good as before. That's for sure. But it wasn't his objective to finish the perfect berzerk of Miura.
But in just a few chapters, the kushans empire got attacked, by the assassin apostle at that, that probably died. Guts got brought here which seems an important part of his recovery. It's probably a lot faster than what would have done Miura.

There was a dog-like statue on the way to the "tomb".....Now Guts gotta go full Naruto and tame the demon inside him, lmao.
Also noticed the trees absorbing dead people and growing through them like in Elden Ring, very nice.

Mori Kouji playing Elden Ring: Hmm... I think I have something

Looks like we've got a fuckin noob here. Anyone who read Berserk through the boat arc knows you're full of it. This is practically light speed next to Miura's writing.

I like this chapter, it feels dreamy. And it feels more adult than all the mindless slashings and DisneyPucks of old. Though it could get hard to see everything when the shades are equal kind of grey.

- some guys commented :
this is a netorare manga with 382 chapters .
this manga has the pace of a snail .
the mangaka wants to milk this manga forever .
casca is a girl who has mental illness .
guts / the main character , gives up on living .
guts becomes a "shut-in" / a Hikikomori , lol pun .
guts is a simp for only 1 girl , and he ignores the loves of other girls .

- me : did you guys mean the manga "rental girl-friend" / "mental illness girl-friend" of the trashy reiji miyajima ? lol . anyway , "berserk" is more better than "mental illness girl-friend" .

Well Evil Genius is taking forever and a day to drop their translation (even though there’s like 3 lines of dialogue in the entire chapter lmao) so for now this dude is good enough 🤷‍♂️
Apparently 2 days now counts as "forever."

Ok then.

Griffith completely lost his way locked in a dungeon, show everyone you can find your way while you are locked in one, Guts.
Now, perhaps this is the final tribulation, if he's sealed in with himself, he'll have to face the dog... And rather than taming it by force, situation demands an agreement be done. Guts is not going to pact with any higher demon but with himself.

While surrounded by monks, this has an air of ceremonial submission and resignation, akin to hold and release... Guts has to cease the struggle, to stop fighting the flow, submit to paralysis, and then... Map his heart as he once did and tremble violently, then be released.

In other words, this is a hardcore way of dispelling trauma. It somehow reminds me of that of Alester Crawley's ritual, in which he sealed himself in for a year and was said to tortously endure the torments and temptations of visiting demons, in views of making a contract with a "guardian angel".

Yeah, thats my bet too.
But it would be too lame if they came edging the final resolution and then clipped it cold by throwing in some fairy dust solution to Gut's problems together with astral projection and I don't know what, then giving him some new armour as if it were a magical girl upgrade of sorts. I mean, isn't this resolution the point of Berserk.
