.... you know, I can't help but think they had something much crueler planned out with those masked guys and punishment game, but maybe the editors stepped in like, whoa, hey, stop, we can't do that now.

Yeah, im just talking out my ass, but it still strikes me as off how neatly this got wrapped up and how quickly those masked guys just threw up their hands and went 'nah this girl proved her worth, i can't take this any further'.

Pretty good arc, all things considered. Crazy asshole JP, after getting his lick back, went to jail (again), Miko learned her lesson and went into a stabler employment, & Akito n crazy hoe didn't die of heatstroke, & Ushijima didn't want to mess with Miko. All things considered, everything came out okay
