Well this at least explains that his childhood friend was elsewhere and how he could get abandoned. But for leaving with just a statement that MC is alive is a pretty subdued reaction to being told he left her friend to die and is laughing about it.

Honestly, the story seems pretty incoherent. His initial discard skill seems to barely have any relationship with the current absorption except for the pseudo-inventory. Someone also mentioned it was weird that S-rankers are in a goblin dungeon. Wolf boss can't control their subordinates to fight before eating and MC can somehow beat wolf boss with only 2 use of absorption + buff when he struggled with the normal wolf??

Girl sang in the middle of combat to heal him and next panel she's just standing there looking worried, and her singing didn't catch the attention of any of the other wolves or even the boss wolf?
I have been having a lot of questions about this world, the characters involved, the scaling and a lot of other things for which I expect no answer or no satisfying answer.
And now we also have the bit where the MC has potentially actively used discard on his self and may have wiped some part of his emotions, personality and/or memories. Who knows.

Also this combat is so dumb.
After the wolf boss CAREFULLY picks MC up by his arm with a mouth big enough that it'd be easier by far to bite him in half.
MC manages to have his mangled arm carry his entire body weight and cut open the chin meat.
This stuns the wolf long enough for MC to 1. land & recover from a 4ish meter fall.
2. Run-cut past the wolf that's like 10? meters long according to art.
3. Turn around and jump back over the wolf that's at least 2 meters tall lying down, landing on it's head sword first...
All while the wolf boss was standing there stunned. Even if you say MC is superman because stats, why is the wolf stunned.
Oh also the wolf pack was also all stunned by random goblin corpses because why not right.
And obviously the wolf pack will run away abandoning the goblin corpses that was apparently so delicious that they'd ignore their pack leader just to eat it.
Even when there's hostile creatures around that have already killed at least one their pack standing right there they choose to eat first.
So in chapter 1 MC uses the standard power of "power up when in danger!" and in this chapter MC uses the power of "when MC is doing stuff, everyone else cannot get in the way".

shame theres only 3 currently but this feels like its got a bit of potential.
edit: so looks like this groups up to chapter 5 but have had 4 and 5 paywalled on their site for 3.5 going on 4 months now.
think i'm gonna actively try to avoid series done by them, no point in getting invested in something that's gonna be pseudo-dropped and then left locked behind a paywall that violates dex's rules lol.
