Hey, iw4n4! I appreciate that you acknowledge that you’re just doing this as practice, but keep in mind that around here, providing a new chapter with a gap between the prior ones might be seen by others as a snipe. Edit: forgot because I’m looking on MD, Bufo Bufo moved to other sites after the purge. So this is directly after their most recently posted chapter. My point still stands.

If you’re looking for series to practice your Japanese skills on, I can suggest a couple titles that have never gotten translations if you’re interested.

There is no such thing as a snipe. The concept of "sniping" is one of the most immoral concepts in scanlation. Only the author and publisher have any rights to the manga.
And yet you should somehow find a way to respect the time and hard work that someone invest to make ungrateful people like you read mangas for free

Oh, translator of this chapter: thanks a lot, I won't be reading your version (this is not a manga that can use a "passable" translation) but this way I found out about the original scanlator dropping the website. I wish people would announce such stuff in each series they do.

Thank you so much for picking this up, as it seems like other translators have dropped the title. I hope you'll continue with the translations. At least based on this one chapter, the quality is on par with the other fan translations.

Of course, the best scenario would be getting a proper, official translation... I, for one, would be more than happy to pay for it, but alas, no english language publisher has picked this title (yet?).

This was picked up for an official TL I believe. But ofc, it's still far behind the raws :(

Is this what on par looks like?:

And this is just from randomly opening a single page. This entire chapter is riddled with basic grammar issues and human error throughout. Even the bare minimum of proofreading clearly wasn’t done. And in this day and age, there’s really no excuse. GPT or any grammar tool could’ve cleaned it up in minutes. But even if it had been proofread, the result would still be subpar because the core translation work itself is weak.

The translation is awkward and inconsistent, the lettering looks like it came straight from a Google Translate overlay, and the grammar either feels stilted or like it was written by someone who is still learning the language. No offense to whoever decided put this out there but this isn’t a good project for public practice, and if you’re going to post something this rough, expect readers to cringe. This isn't even constructive criticism—this is basic quality control.

I'm sorry, but nothing about this release is 'on par'.

On par with the Bufo bufo scans version, yes. Not perfect by any means.

That particular panel is word-for-word the same as the light novel translation, so I really wonder what an alternative translation would be. I still have to wait a few weeks before my japanese copy arrives so that I can check the original.

Ah, does that make it okay?
Given the abysmal quality of the light novel translation, I wouldn't dare point to it for confirmation bias.

Of the novel or the manga? If you're planning to compare the Japanese novel to the English novel translation... well, I know for a fact that the light novel is filled with translation mistakes to the point it's not even worth looking at while translating the manga (I was comparing translations for a few chapters before stopping since every single chapter of the novel translation had at least one mistranslation). Some are so bad that you don't even need to know Japanese to know there's something wrong (vol 5 epilogue would be an example of this).
it seems like other translators have dropped the title
They moved to comi*k (* is a c) like most scannies who were doing series hit with the DMCA. I'm surprised MD staff even allowed an upload for this title given that it was on the list of titles impacted by the takedown. Then again, maybe they're just doing the bare minimum required of them since they didn't nuke all the chapters.
Also, why even say that when you have this comment at the very top of this thread (unless, of course, you have some knowledge about this that wasn't shared publicly?):

Hii, I'm the translator of the chapter and I'm really sorry that the chapter isn't the best.

As I stated at the beginning I am a beginner and I did this chapter originally for myself since I wanted to practice. I only posted this chapter here after I found out that they stopped posting the chapters on english (just because I thought that maybe someone would appreciate even this if they can't find chapters in english in any other way like I couldn't).

As far as the font of the text goes, in the app that I used to edit this was the best one I could find, if you have a recommendation for an app I could use I would appreciate it!

For the time being, I am going to leave this chapter on the site but if you (and the others) think that it's better to take it off I'll do it (there really is no problem).

Again, really sorry that this isn't on pair with the last one, I'm going to practice more and if I decide to post a chapter in future I hope it will be better! All the best~

Hii, sure I would love to check them out so feel free to write them down!

Also about the previous chapters, I was also kind of worried that people would mistake this chapter (hence why I put a little warning at the beginning). If I continue this I will make sure to put the missing ones here first!

Thank you! ^^

I know it's not that great of a translation but I did try my best so your comment means a lot!
