Yes that is unfortunately the case. While i waited for the next Volume to be released, ZS not only completely died but i myself ran into personal issues so i wasn't able to continue the translation. Not sure why the chapters up to 23 are gone, i am pretty sure they were uploaded on MD before.. I'll see if i can do something about that.

A lot of readers are confused because they see mass uploads on the mangadex page and wonder what is happening. No, we are not possessed and decided to work on all these chapters in a few days (just getting that out of the way, lul). Zero Scans is not uploading on MD anymore because a lot of our series are contracted with companies such as Mangatoon & Webcomics and we are not allowed to re-upload anymore here. Also, due to some decisions of MD we are not manually uploading any of our series here anymore and instead only upload on our site. But because many readers may prefer the MD platform, we left the upload restriction open. So it's up to the readers to keep the series updated here. Thanks for your understanding.

There was a mass removal of chapters some months ago from licensed works. for some it was only a handful, for a few, we're talking 100+ chapters removed.

You're partially right, mangadex dmca made hundreds of thousands of chapters be unavailable
But!
They're still listed in the site, even marked if you read them

Thing is that Mangadex changed some of the upload rules, that made some groups drop Mangadex altogether, a few went so far as outright remove all their uploads

You see a series with chapters literally missing instead of just being unable to open / read? That was the group / uploader

It's still possible to find those series somewhere else though

i'd advise doing that because a while ago there was this huge purge of so many chs removed either because of some licensed works bs or dmca bs, alot of manga got their chs chopped either by a bit or by ALOT (some manga got ALL their chs removed!) and alot of tranlators after that are uploading on their own scan site, patreon, cubarimoe,etc

i'm sure you can still upload them again but who knows if another dmca/licensed works attack will happen again

Unlikely it was because of that. All the licensed works that were affected now have an option to view missing/unavailable chapters but there isn't one for this manga. Plus, I've never seen a publisher decide to skip over specifically 1-13 then just decide to take down only 14-23. It's likely something else.

The mass removals intended to completely take down a licensed work from the site, the only reason that some chapters are still there is because those were uploaded after they prepared the large takedown request (They will most likely remove the ones they couldn't get rid of in another wave, hence why a lot of uploaders are moving to other sites).
