Although I have my hesitation about pacing issues, one of Shy’s strongest points are its dynamic scenes. Shrimpy is rushing, like the bullet train, to all stages of Teru life. Once he reaches the end of the metaphoric tunnel, he sees her visage bathed in golden light like her sister. You can only see parts of her reflection in his eyes because she’s so blinding. It really gives that “wow” and “bitterness” factor of watching your child grow up, even if it means growing further from you. I think these little moments is what gives Shy charm (especially needed for a superhero manga) even if it’s imperfect.

I was struggling to remember that one girl's name since she hasn't been in the manga in a while. Then I get hit with that Shy jump scare. You think what happened to her is what Pilse got warned about a few chps back?

Probably, now that you mention it. Forgot about the backlash. The whole "it could even kill you" bit.

Well, that was chilling. What the heck happened? Author, explain yourself!

Probably a backlash, I mean Mei's superspeed looks like it'll put a lot of burden, not to mention the whole Scar thing.

With how Iko and the girl's old wound gone after their ring got taken, I wonder if what Stigma wanted is taking all the wound to himself?

Kinda like how it's a twisted version of a wish of "no more pain in the world" or something, which would contrast with Teru's "wanting to be someone to be there to share the pain"?

On the art side, Shy's always been top tier

Great chapter. Great characterization of Shrimpy, and Teru's growth. More lore on the Amalareiks's rings. And Shy jumpscare.

Back in chapter 142, we were told that scar transformation was what led to Shine's death.

I wonder if the backlash increase in response to the source of the scar and how long they bottled it up.

Shy stops being shy
immediately gets a stroke.
What did they mean by this?
