If you truly want to learn to translate then here’s a few pointers:

  • Don’t translate manga that has active translation ongoing already that are up to date with the raws.
  • Never use AI or Google to translate. Try to actually learn the language. Use a dictionary if there are kanji characters that you don’t know.
  • You need to have some decent grammar knowledge of the language you are translating it into. Use a Word program or something similar that has spelling and grammar check before editing it in to the manga.
  • Typesetting. You should read a lot of manga (preferably officially translated ones) and study how they are properly typesetted so that it looks natural.

Translating manga takes effort, it’s not just using Google Lens and then slapping default Ariel or Times New Roman with sloppy english grammar and call it a day. Spend more time, learn to do it properly and put in the time and effort, if you actually want people to read your TL work in the future. Oh, and translate manga that is not being translated by other people.

I’m really starting to hate the fact that AI is everywhere.

But seriously out of curiosity. Why make the same chapter already posted.

why not post at least the next chapter with this shitty translation?!?!?!?!?!?

Just a few tips:
1.) Please stop using AI. I get that it's easy, but you'll get horrible slop 9 times out of 10. Learn Japanese or find a translator who will do the work.
2.) Don't snipe another group's series. It's not like it's been months since it got an update or something. This is just a dick move.

If you want to use AI to translate something for your own enjoyment, sure. Go ahead. But don't post it here or anywhere else.

Here's how to actually scanlate.

1. Scanlate any series you want,no one has ownership over them and no one can stop you, however, don't skip ahead nor do previous chapters(do that after you've established the lead),but do the next available chapter(s)in sequence, for those are the ones people are actually waiting for.

2. Target the comics where the prior fellas have not posted for nearly three months without reason/a bull crap reason, they've failed their end of the bargain and have no further right at all to complain, and if it's been more/way more then three months with more chapters available, then go straight at it without any regard.

3. Before anything, you must be able and willing to change sentences that sound awkward to something that sounds smooth in the language you're translating into, you do not have to be exact with what the original sentence said so long as it sounds alright within the full context, and any puns/wordplay you detect can be a translation note.

4. Feel free to use any and all machines to translate, but again, full context is needed,so ensure the gender pronouns match who the speed refers to,because the Three Moon Rune languages are notorious for not having a proper English style of pronoun usage, which in itself is used as a trope,so keep that in mind.

5. For the love of things Holy, feel free to use anything but Comic Sans,it's long overdue in its' usage, and feel free to use other colours then black,so long as it still contrasts the colour of the speech bubble, all while trying to keep it within the bubble, you may exceed the bubble if its' simply impossible.

6. You don't need to go ham on sound effects, just make sure that any that are important get a small note about what they are,nor do you ever need to replace the massive artistic speech bubbles or action words that get shouted out,a small note will suffice.

7. If you manage to achieve the prior six steps with a smooth-enough result, then you need not fear any hard liner crazy raving lunatics who will call any attempt bad, even the actually decent ones, simply because they lack a brain capable of processing small mistakes or things they've never experienced before, and this is doubly so if some uppity scanlator/group makes some high horse statement about morals on this pirate site.

8. Most important of all,if the past seven steps are fully in hand,do not relent, you must continue with more then one post, you've taken on the mantel and have entered the ring against keyboard warriors, follow up the first successful punch with a even more successful one-two combo, and then a quick third n' fourth jab, establish yourself as being good enough for a job that has been left to rot and no one can stop ya.

If ya do that, and if everyone else who gets started can do that, then you'll be worthy enough.

This attempt clearly shows it has not met the eight steps,so it is not worthy enough.

Hello, I am the one translating this. I saw comments regarding the bad AI translations. I'm terribly sorry for any wrong translations; I'm still learning scanlations. I look forward to learning Japanese and improving the translations. I may have chosen a too mainstream manga to start (I uploaded this before noticing the proper English translations were uploaded), but I'm mainly sorry for the poor translations!🙏🙏🙏 if you have any suggestions, feel free to reply!
(I won't continue the manga as I think it's too complicated for me:dogkek:)
