The proper use of "mysig" in the context they're talking at the start of the chapter would be "mysigt" too, but maybe that's an intentional error since they're obviously non-natives.

As a french, I can tell you I really love that country.
I made several trips there, and I love the landscape with nature everywhere (especially lake and forests), even in a big town like Stockholm, as well as the atmosphere which is full of serenity. This is clearly my favourite country, and that's how I see it from another country.

Now I'm not sure I could live there though, mostly because the winter is really long and kinda cold, with very short daylight. I actually only travelled there during summer.
Swedish people are nice to me, but it's not very easy for someone like me who's kinda shy and reserved, cause they generally won't come talking to you and can actually totally ignore you, not even showing any curiosity for a foreigner.

And I'm quite curious as well to see how Sweden is viewed by other people.

"Mysig" is the appropriate word, but it should be in the form of "mysigt" if you want to mix languages like that.

"Fika" is indeed at the core of Swedish people.

The things on his tray on page 21 are "dammsugare", lit. "vacuum cleaners", or punsch-rolls. Popular for fika.

Coffee with cinnamon rolls is the classic.

It's probably more correct to call it in and around Läke Mälaren, as it's on both north and south of the lake, as well as on the islands.

If you've seen Kiki's Delivery Service and are familiar with Stockholm, you can absolutely see a lot of references.

It's common to double the "Hej!" (hello) in greetings. It can give a slightly friendlier impression, especially if you put a little melody in it.

I think Finland is the heaviest drinker of coffee, but Sweden's not far behind.

Very idealised, but that's expected with this kind of story. The city drawings are great.
