You ALL know the Lemon end is clear.

What's interesting is that one of Lemon's big character traits that she's had to address and work through, is that she puts people and their feelings before herself.

There's a possibility where she defers to Natsumi--her best friend and arguably the person who pulled her out of her lowest point--and lets go of her feelings for Sunao to see the two people she cares about being happy.

OR, she decides to be selfish and choose her own happiness first for once, and pursues Sunao wholeheartedly, even if it ends up hurting herself or one/both of the others.

Both seem plausible, and one would certainly lead to a longer story left to tell, not including stuff like the Germany thing and other various plot points that need to be resolved. But I think the above two options at least (barring some third/xth potential I'm leaving out) will depend on how far along Lemon's come from where she was in middle school, and what she considers most important now.

Yeah to me it doesn't feel like he has any sort of lingering romantic attachments to Lemon. It's more like he would feel stuck in a really awkward position if Lemon is still in love with him considering he likes her friend. Then add in the body switching, it would just make it even more awkward. Just my own thoughts though. The story could go in a completely different direction.

I hope it's that way, honestly would be kind of dissappointed if the Author truly pushes them back together, it felt like this chapter had Sunao's feelings for her "rekindle" so to speak, I wouldn't be a fan of that, I wouldn't be surprised but honestly if the story sticks to Sunao's crush to Natsumi, which it kind of brought up again in this chapter thankfully, and simply had Sunao and Lemon have a healthy happy friendship, it'd become peak right there.

You can start by elevating Kogahara beyond just a background character.

the author has the chance to do the funniest thing ever: the bodyswapping stops, but Sunao and Lemon are trapped in the wrong bodies.
And now they both awkwardly date(?) Kogahara.

As long as it's well-written, I ultimately won't complain. If at the end it makes the most sense for Lemon and Sunao to be together rather than Sunao and Natsumi, then that's the way it should go.

The writing's been good enough to this point that I don't have too much worry that the author will suddenly shoehorn an ending where it's not warranted (and that goes for Sunao & Natsumi too, for the record).

Yeah, as much as I'm pulling for Natsumin, I could accept it if Lemon ends up with a solo win. Unlike some other stories I could name where the "childhood friend" stays in the background until they win.

Botan supremacy, but sadly I doubt Kogahara has a chance, she didn't had enough screentime as Botan actually had, still the name of the manga at least let me cope that she has a chance (only english version uses Lemon in the title)

we're also likely not done, by a fair bit here. I could easily see this going to 100 chapters, given there's still stuff that needs to be addressed--chiefly among them being Natsumi.

Is there a stated end point that's coming up soon? Just because this major bit was finally resolved doesn't necessarily mean it's close to wrapping up (at least, I hope, because that would seriously rush things).

Plus, there's the whole "Lemon going to Germany" thing (I wonder if that's why Dad is here all of the sudden). I can't imagine that was just a throwaway that will just be dropped as a loose thread, and that has a lot of implications for the three of them, even if the Swapping's not a factor by that point.

Unless I'm completely off-base, Lemon had plans to go to Germany as part of a post-grad program or something. It was when she and Sunao were studying for a German exam, because Sunao had to take Lemon's for her and was worried because his faculties with the language were nowhere near the level of hers.
I think it was mentioned to Sunao-as-Lemon by her professor, which is how he got wind of it. Or Lemon mentioned it to him in passing during their study sessions.

......and then it was..just, never brought up again, which I find strange given "foreign exchange/study program" is a huge fucking deal for two people who swap bodies whenever they wake up.

It's a post-grad program. She's still in her freshman year of college.

Fwiw, he's not blaming himself. If anything, he's just trying to be supportive now that he's learned she was dealing with stuff back then.

I think all of us have had times where we wish we could have done or said something different once we learn new information after the fact.
