Review time - The story and art style dont go hand to hand. The faces are drawn as if they were meant for comedy. Wide open mouth whenever they talk and eyes wide open. The art style is certainly different and unique but after a while you realize they dont work for the story.
Next the title has nothing to do with the manhua, theres no healing which is what youd think the mc would be doing. Instead it points to the characters previous life which is the classic reincarnation story of "I lived a aweful live but i get another chance". So healing in terms of his soul i guess. Next the big point he makes is that he was saved and will live and be thankful to his savior which is basically referred to as a god but shes more like some ultimate magic user. Anyways a lot of times its repeated by him that hes going to live for that magicians sake but nothing is really done. Like he doesnt go and worship or go around defeating the villians in this story. Instead the story goes with him learning magic, getting saved against the evil guys and going to school. This is so basic and slow that 70 chapters in the main focus is getting into a secret group in the school. I would prefer we go back to the whole villian folks and learning more magic to defeat them and also. A big focus for him was learning about his uncle and why hes with the bad folks, but thats put off cause yay school is more fun.
I guess the next segment I was supposed to talk about was the pacing but i accidentally did that when talking about the title, oops.
Lastly, magic. Its like talking about insane scaling in video games. You get introduced to magicians so overpowered but they get defeated by the mcs mother. Like the enemies somehow know how to take them into absolute emptiness or time stopping. The fuck is this our mc barely knows how to turn water into ice and we have enemies that seem like god but get smacked by brute force. Heck, the mcs older brother is supposed to be one hell of a swordsman but he gets defeated like some mob.
I guess I just expected a decent story because of the unique artstyle, similar to how when solo leveling came out I stuck around because the art was so different from manga but with this one it just didnt do anything with the story,

this shits so peak so far i found this manhwa through a tiktok review saying it was a 5/10 which is actually insane i read to chp 74 i love all the characters the mc is great i see alot of ppl forgetting hes a 13 year old. I love the art style it helps to give moments of levity when we just gone through dark moments. The magic system is so sick too and how its essentially music themed with a bit of a scientific theorem thrown in. I am curious just how crazy these powers are gonna get. I have alot of questions abt how the horizons truly works.

I think a personal gripe i have a little is i wish he had more interaction with specifically his mom and dad in this world considering how he was treated by his mom in his past life. I feel like that could have been explored a bit more before he left felivia. I also wish we spent a bit more time in the actual magic school and not just specifically the ro illem major mainly cuz i really like all the magic school characters but im sure we'll maybe revisit it after this arc with the cartel and sothet.

other than that i think this is such a good time. Levent is definitely my favorite character so far i love how he foils eugene (Okay i will say I WISH HIS NAME WASNT EUGENE MAN😭 I think their were way more interesting names he couldve had. its hard to take some characters seriously when they say Eugene in a serious conversation) okay im done, fiending for more updates

All you mfs trashing the story have the reading skills of a 7 year old and thats an offense to them,go back to read another Solo MAX Level SSS ranker return, the story is neither slow neither fast, the mc is not acting as kid............HE IS A KID!!!!

He never got a bonus on his life with his previous memory because he got those memories when he was 13 years old on his new life AKA NEVER GREW UP WITH A BOOST.

The MC is without irony an actual child, his trauma is treated poorly and for jokes its literally his entire point when you caught up on the story, his is literally a fracture soul that had to be used as a token to bring peace and save lives, think of like 100.000 children having the worst life ever and dying like MC in the first chapter but all those kids are the MC he had died as a child for a big sceme limitless times and he never exprienced those because he never got any past memories UNTIL HE HITS PUBERTY!!!!

but fuck it the ACTUAL CHILD doesnt act like a badass reicarnated or regressed dick character with 90% of faces being smug and emotionless,go read those.

I felt that. I hate it when people act so judgemental towards an actual great story (even though it DOES have issues, don't get me wrong), but they NEVER act the same way towards any generic power fantasy that releases nowadays. If its translated by some big group -> instantly loved, and if its translated by a small group -> wtf is this piece of garbage.

And art?? People actually dislike the art? It's a COMIC. It has its own personal art style, not the same generic copy pasted artstyle most new manhwas use. Yes, it did look kind of weird at the start, but it changed around chapter 25, and ever since then its great. It uses the webtoon format insanely well, for example using the background to split and switch panels, so what's wrong with a COMIC looking like an actual COMIC? I think this expressive style goes REALLY WELL with the themes its going for. On one side its all fun and dandy, then on another side it switches to that dark eerie atmosphere.

And for the record, once again, yes it has its issues, like the main character overall acting like a child who has no concept of reality, but god that's exactly who he is!!! I like the manhwa more than try and be picky about every smallest thing, or act all judgemental towards every single fucking issue it has. I swear people nowadays can't be happy about anything. If a story is not perfect or hyped because its translated by a big group, they instantly say its bad.

I can't read this. I got to the halfway of chapter 1 and had to stop. It's just annoying. The moment I read "The 'sickly' and the 'fugitive' practicing their swordplay ..." I immidiatly quit the chapter. This sort of writing is something I cannot stand. I am not going to leave a review, because I have basicly read nothing of this, but for those few sentences alone I want to give this a 5 or below.

I'm surprised I didn't leave a comment on this one.
TLDR: What many people wrote is right. This suffers from early Shounen tropes, where the story is carried by action, but the author cannot for the life of them stay away from DRAMA and escalating with BS.

not tldr:
For an instance, the MC wants to be a mage. Is a blessed genius of the century. But has a shitty body for magic.
Ok. Overcomes it kinda. Goes to magic school.
...In which he never studies magic. The MC never receives any actual training or education, because world-ending-events keep dragging him away, and he keeps copying other people's spells with his "genius".
But that doesn't mean the MC is OP. He fails, a lot, because he never had any proper training.

And then some One Piece shit happens, with villains appearing with Magic Power Of The Week ("you can't harm my Iron Body!! Oh no, flames!")

etcetc.
It's obvious that the author had an interesting idea (magic system), but no idea how the fuck to expand upon it, so it has absolutely no depth to it. MC just copies high level spells, and then the spells turn into memes.

Only came here because of you spamming my comments with your reactions.

"What many people wrote is right" -> Nope, not really, most of them literally judged from how the characters were drawn instead of the story.

Your review does give more insight and is better than what the others wrote, plus I do agree with it, but focusing on the manhwa's issues without highlighting the positives is what's annoying. If many of them can read any new generic slop, why can't they read this one, which already shown itself to be more capable than a generic manhwa? I guess we'll never know, because they judge early.

I recommend you turn off these notifications.
And: yes, while this one does a few things right, it grated on me much more how consistently the author chose to go against the established premise of "learn and explore magic", and made it instead about pretty much anything else.

That is somewhat like Infinite Mage initially promised to delve deep into its magic system, but then also turned out to focus much more on character melodrama.
(Albeit it still focuses on the MC expanding his world as a mage, even if it's weaker, so its focus is still more robust than this one).

All in all, I'd say most people's gripes are probably due to how erragic and cliche the story is, while other "slop comics" are at least more consistent about their focus.

@PreStoneX want me to elaborate on why I dislike this form of writing? You did strike it, so I imagine you disagree.

To make it quick: It's lazy writing. It's the "Oh, look, bad guy" card. There is no imagination behind bringing in a guy and then having them go "Oh look, he is disabled, hahaha. Let's laugh at the disabled guy." And it's exagerated for the sake of exageration and drama. This way of writing is very surface level.

Are you talking about the literal first chapter? Bruh
