The maid had enough of Brigitte's bullshit.
I think I've finally hit the limit of my patience with this one. The characters have had zero meaningful development throughout the series, and there hasn't been a plotline that's not just "bad guy is villain doing evil". Not to mention the MC is relegated to a damsel in distress in literally every single situation.

I know that she have traumas because of the stupid prince, but she cant do shit on her own and she cant speak her mind.
The prince will probably do something stupid and dangerous (and illegal) and the story have two options, first, the MC will finally do something, or second, she will be the damsel in distress again. If is the second, will be the end, at least for me.

That bitch ass prince better keep the fuck away
the prince have superiority complex.. MC have better grade than him made him mad so he flirting with other woman just to show unworthy the MC is. but when Yuri, someone that also better than him get close to MC, he get jealous and want to take MC from Yuri just to satisfy his superior complex. but his plan backfire as MC now gaining a bit confidance and reject him thus humiliated him twice, by getting reject by woman that he looked down, which better than him and losing to Yuri because MC choose Yuri. he wanted to make like he a hot guy that after breaking engagement, that woman still want him and he being generous, accept her but now it make it look like he is the desperate and clingy man that make mistakes in breaking engagement.
Being asshole as he is, he probably trying to do something stupid like using forbidden item to either charm MC, curse MC or Yuri or kill or seal spirit that bonded with MC/Yuri.

All that shit with the prince should've given her enough annoyance to the point that she doesn't feel any embarassment at all confessing to him. And if anything, I think Yuri already know. Tho if he really do, I think it's still as bad that he keeps on teasing her on it. Them not making it clear on each other is simply preventing them to proceed to the next important talk: wtf is the prince problem?

Maybe I'm mistaking this for another generic villainess romance story but I could have sworn they already did the confessions thing earlier. Maybe the word love wasn't used but they were fully aware of the others feelings.

Bridgette’s recovery from the trauma and unease Joseph gave her is steadily increasing. But let’s not forget. He’s still royalty (unfortunately). Too much disrespect towards him can have negative consequences for her, especially since she does not have her family’s backing courtesy of her shitheel of a sperm donor. Nobody else in the royal family had made an appearance or said anything on the matter of these two. Which partially leads me to believe that Joseph never actually made his annulment of their engagement known to his parents or brothers.
Idk why you guys keep complaining about her supposedly being meek, when after a few internal thoughts and attempts to avoid him, she told him straight to his face she does not want to associate with him any longer.
Also in regards to her not telling Yuri her feelings straightforward, this is her second love, after her disastrous and abusive previous one, so she’s afraid of being rejected and losing him. Give her a break

I am convinced we're not going to get any romantic development from the 2 leads until we're like 50-60 chapters in because honestly how long are they planning to tiptoe around this? And of course the church is involved! when is the church not involved!? I genuinely want to see a story where the church isn't bad or morally corrupt.
Also I don't really fully trust the inspector guy not yet.

My money is on some kind of anti-spirit wand that will either keep her from summoning out her spirit or cause it to go crazy and attack everyone, making her fail the test and look incompetent
I will take this as some kind of development as The Guy seems to actually understand that she’s talking about him and just doesn’t want to admit it. If he has realized her feelings, that’s pretty good.
As for less evil churches
There Was a Cute Girl in the Hero's Party, so I Tried Confessing to Her. The church there seems fairly OK and have yet to cause any major issues, despite main girl being a saint.
I Was Reincarnated as a Poor Farmer in a Different World, so I Decided to Make Bricks to Build a Castle. Has a complicated church system where they distribute magic, but the main priest is a definite Ally for the MC
So I’m a spider so what? Has a more morally grey church, where they are in no way, corrupt and actually function kind of flawlessly, but they still sacrifice a lot of people to stop the world from being destroyed.
Possibly the Greatest Alchemist of All Time. Has two churches and one of them is evil and dedicated to a fake God, but the other is dedicated to the real God and it is pretty chill.
