An abrupt end but they took their time closing things up in the final chapter. At least the epilogue portion didn’t feel too rushed, but I had trouble recalling who a lot of the people were in the final portions.

It’s quite hard to imagine though that all those soldiers would just stop, I guess it was a combination of losing fighting spirit due to the overwhelming night of the enemy illusion, and then being reasoned with when vulnerable.

Did I miss something? What happened with that giant earth dragon threat or the demon queen's powers (who had one whole page in this ending)? This moved too slowly and too abruptly at the same time.

Talk about a mediocre ending. I guess we at least get some kinda epilogue but it doesn't answer anything for nearly anyone, no reason the guy had to abandon all of his demon friends/allies just because he was human. They literally show humans and demons interacting one page later. Instead he goes to live off in a tiny village with the most generic human girl the series ever had. Boring.

Maybe that's good, though, since my memory can't remember much of this story between the start and end, and I only have the one question of "why couldn't he stay with the demons" because I can't remember what other plot holes they left gaping.

There was no reason he couldn't stay with them. They would have kept loving him regardless. He could have brought his mother as well but it is what it is I guess
