There's no way she's gonna tell him about her real job (she's literally thinking how she wouldn't dare). I doubt we'll get a confession either since she still seems confused about her own feelings towards their family.

As excited as I am for the next chapter.... I'm worried it's just gonna be played for laughs in the end. She'll say something vague that roughly alludes to her real work and feelings about their family, which Loid will have a crazy overreaction too (although maybe rightfully so) before settling on some half-truth that puts us back at the status quo.

But god do I hope I'm wrong!

Hmmm, I don't even really think Loid is dedicated to his country as much as he is to maintaining the peace. Like, if he's ordered to do something that reignites the war, I'd expect him to flunk.
