I don't remember the full context of this story, but wow does this chapter just feel kind of awful. I see people in the comments talking from the perspective of either themselves or the protagonist, and quickly re-reads you know ngl I dislike the protagonist for being like this in this case in particular. Normally the "I have to be low key" type of deal can irk me but could be understandable, but this is less a matter of having to be more lowkey and more about your friend having brainwashed multiple people in your life, almost certainly intentionally, clearly having malicious intent towards you, and straight up bragging to your face like he doesn't know that his actions are dick moves or possibly straight up evil if he's aware of his powers. Yes, he has been in another world for over a decade, but 1. At least in my opinion I don't think I would forget the past after 15 years like that (like why would you forget a memory about your parents getting divorced due to your best friend, although I get the feeling the best friend was brainwashing him too), especially when you can clearly remember the moment you got isekaied. No longer feeling as pissed off about it? Yeah initially I would get that. After the first time he approaches to "apologize"? Not only can you detect he's trying to use magic on you but he is clearly not a friend. And then once the sister shows up, this is less about the past and more about stopping him on principle because even if the protagonist doesn't particularly care about the past, the "best friend" hurt people, hurt his family, is manipulating people without their knowledge and the protagonist knows it; I guess hopefully he does something, seals his powers maybe? But for someone who was supposed to be a hero in another world this does not feel heroic at all.
