That's the thing... There won't be another one like Nephteros, and Bifrons is aware of it, and that's why this punishment is worse than killing them. No matter how many clones Bifrons may create (if they could, since Zagan destroyed EVERYTHING Bifrons used to create Nephteros and can't make more clones), they won't be Nephteros.

Just because you get a new toy you like doesn't make your memory with the old one you attached to go away. It's much worse when that "toy" is a sentient being

Barbatos aid Zagan without a word need to be said when he saw Chastile crying. (also Congrats for being official couple in spin-off you two 🥳)
Zagan punishment that straight up merciless on it own way.
Bifrons who is way to late to realize his own feeling (serve you right)

can't wait for next arc, looking for a new Heart for Nepheros (just as Zagan said, Bifrons has been supplying her with magic this whole times. now their connection is severed, she gonna need a new battery)
