Could work as a punishment for him if he really is that attached to her, but how certain is that he won’t just create something else and obsess with it instead?

The fact we've had him keep her by his side and bother her repeatedly for like...I want to say around a year by now?

Let alone however much time it took him to raise her after he made her, yet it was only after the botched thing in the boat that he left her behind? And even after that he went ahead and tried to get her back to his side, when you'd expect him to just try to recreate her instead.
