Even though it was axed, the Wishmaster ending was still the best possible outcome and tied everything together neatly.

The way this mangaka does starfish and cosmic, alien beings is truly the most disturbing, awe-inspiring, and and genuinely alien I have seen in a long time. I want more. Like Made in Abyss or that cancelled Boy and Demon Mother fighting Giant Eye God Monster (Mao Mao Yuusha Yuusha?). Anyhow, Wishmonster Starfish thing...look at it! The weird gleam of the skin, the detailing, the squiggly, rough by slimy texture...you can feel it!
May their next story be as creative and horrifying, and go on much, much longer. What a brilliant end.

The artstyle is really cool, and even the axed ending still feels workable. 10/10 would wish for more

It's a real shame we couldn't see all the fights due to the axe but the author did give us a good ending with what he had. You can see how great it would have been if we were given time.
