I don't want to have my hopes up, but the part where he says that at the end he didn't talk with other people apart of his friend, yet he end up enjoying the moment anyway, gives me a little hope that his character can have an interesting development.

I'll be honest, I'd hoped Nitanda would not get so immediately swept up like that this early in.
The premise of him "giving as good as he got" set out in chapter 1 where he wasn't fully pulled along by Machino made me hope that this wouldn't be another "dude on his own has his personality re-written by pushy extrovert girl", but clearly that was abandoned completely by chapter 3.
At this point this is turning into something that's already been done, unless the author really works to switch things up from here.
Maybe one day there'll be a romcom manga where the ML doesn't have a spine made of over-soaked udon who doesn't get completely overshadowed by some overachieving FL. Which is sad because I kinda liked the initial chapter of this.

It's entirely just my own hang-ups though, so I hope those who like this get plenty of enjoyment out of it for however long it runs.

What’s the "KP" supposed to mean? I know she points to her canine, but that doesn’t explain the connection.

Also, Machino's "Master" comment implies a mention of such phrase in the conversation between Yagi and Nitanda. After checking no such mention is made. Was it never there in the manga (so a reference that got lost in adaption from the light novel), or did the translation bungle it?

They're just sideburns. How they're drawn here are eye catching at first, but they're not unnatural.

Dude, they start right in front of her ears, where she has no hair. It would be pretty extra of her to just style extra long sideburns + shave around it.

Some of it is just how it's drawn. I've known several girls/women whose sideburns thin out just above the ear and then tuft right at the ear.

It's natural.

Probably short hand for Kampai. The fang had nothing to do with it, she just noticed she had his eye and did it to tease him.

worked/working through most of those, actually. Appreciate the list, though it's still a drop in the bucket.
Just unfortunate, because the first chapter/part of the second made me think this one would be different.
The moment his identity & agency disappeared in the face of her pushiness, this early in, made me realize I might very well have gotten my hopes up for nothing.

And that's fine. If people like this sort of thing, I'm not going to bag on it and tell them they're wrong. But the whole "perfect, strong-willed FMC does whatever she wants and the clearly-wrong MMC gets dragged along with no autonomy and sometimes lightly abused in the process" trope has lost its luster for me after the umpteenth iteration.
