I call it the Endgame Dilemma. At that point, we’re just going for expansion packs to sort out the “after” bit, after a filler arc that keeps you happy and connects the 2 bits while you wait for the xpack to pop up.

All they need to do is take those tropes and shuffle them around a bit. Get a leviathan / kraken attacking wagons or something.

So skipping the whole relationship thing. I'm I the only one genuinely curious about what Shizuko's deal is? In a previous chapters, its shown that the former saint and sword saint would have bite za dust if Shizuko didn't show up and even in the chapter they say that Shizuko did "something". And now, apparently how they got out a live is not public knowledge "they somehow survived" and "at least that's what the people says" thats gotta be foreshadowing for something. And why is she always the one pushing Ceres to get more wives? I can understand the first 3 cause that could just be her wanting to save her teammate from living a shit life but why so gung ho about the next 3? They have no real connection to Ceres and he haven't even met the third one.

Just an excuse for the harem to grow is my guess. You shouldn't read too much into it or expect some subtle twists, the writing on this is incredibly amateurish.

I get the political angle might make things interesting and you can justify it with the lore you created and the fact that he has such a boundless stamina now, but then is gonna dilute the character development, I feel like you could still write a lot more about the 4 wives as it is, keep focusing on his revenge, I am not sure if upping the stakes like this is a positive, more doesn't mean better.

I still liked the chapter but am afraid of its consequences.

No offense to the author and maybe this is just a me thing. But I honestly feel like the story has lost all of its steam. Like if it would end in the next 5 chapters, i wouldn't have a problem with it. The whole moms harem thing was cool for a while and its tbh a great hook but it doesn't feel like that anymore. The main problem that I have is that the reason why a revenge story is good is that we the readers sympathize with the MC and want to see how the MC plays revenge on his old team. Thats why its called a revenge story. But this manga for some reason seems to have problems with premature finishing cause we haven't even seen the payoffs for the set up yet (giving the fathers not only their direct counters as a way to control them but also with the exact same looks as their own daughter). And we already have a resolution to the "revenge" plot and it wasn't even that good or at all. I would have even settled for luke warm but this is just cold. The old team immediately buckles, the MC didn't even have the slightest of reaction (other than his friends calling him dad but that doesn't count cause, anyone would cringe at that). Like why even bother anymore. I really hope it picks back up but I highly doubt it due to the formentioned reasons. Its a revenge story that had it conclusion was to early and even before any real revenge could happen.

Nah she's 100% trash too. Actually I personally dislike her the most side from the main guy. Ceres treated her very well when the guy she liked didn't even bother with her. But as soon as he gives her a bracelet she did a 180 and cast Ceres of the team. She doesn't belong in a team, she belongs to the streets
