I don't understand, Beltaro. How do you always manage to find such peak to TL?

As someone with pretty severe school girl yuri burnout, this series feels crazy refreshing. Everything from the personality of the characters, to the detailed backgrounds, to the carefully paced out story and inclusion of a end of volume 1 twist feels so out of the ordinary that for the first time in ages I genuinely don't feel like I know how this story is going to play out. I'm really excited to see where this goes :glee:

Thank you for the TL!

They finally meet! The buildup was so well done that my heart was pounding. The art is still lovely too.

It was also understandable why the "older sister" got the cold shoulders.

I ended up reading ahead (it's up to chapter 9 so far), so I'm gonna avoid talking about stuff to not spoil anything, but, yeah... This is peak and continues to be peak later on as well.

Thank you, Beltaro (the goat), for being so quick to translate new chapters, so I can catch some of the subtle nuance I missed cause my Japanese level is not exactly amazing (just decent enough to slowly read manga using a dictionary).

Seeing how awkward and young Haruyo looks after the elegance of her letters hurts a little. But I don't think she'll lose all of that persona. In some way it is still her. I'm so exicted to see these characters developed further.

The twist is so good. I knew there was going to a good reason for why she chickened out. Putting your heart out there is terrifying but can be rewarding if it works out.

What a twist! Considering we initially saw her with long hair, I wonder if she cut it as repentance for betraying her "little sister". Considering how heavily this affected Kasumi in the last chapter, Haruyo's reason to break their promise to meet was so childish, it ends up being laughably silly. The important part is that Kasumi reached out again, despite the pain, to find the real Onee-sama and not the one that's only in her letters. I like the dismantling of the S-class relationship once they try to pursue something outside of their letters (their fantasy). There's a lot to explore here with expectations of a relationship and the realities of interacting with another complicated human being and not just a character archetype (big/little sister).
I'm excited to read what's next. Def a must buy once this gets a physical volume out! Thank you Beltaro for your translations and analysis. I've loved all the works you've translated. You somehow know how to find real gems.

Wow that haircut is weird :nyoron: hope she grows it back out like she had it in ch.3, or at least does something with those fringes
I thought the same but trust me, it will grow on you. Her design in the next chapters looks really elegant and cute
