Yeah no. It’s surprising but so far...none of the character are likeable lol. The MC is stupid and terribly written, the manager or whatever she is is kind of a b#### (why would you lie to the kids and say the director is coming back when she isn't??? The other children will tell them anyways, what was the use in this except showing us you don't respect the MC in any way, shape or form??), we haven't seen enough of the kids yet, the trope of "the higher ups don't trust MC for no reason at all and are based on gut feeling only BUT will still force him into it" is starting to piss me off, it all seems so rushed! The only correct thing said here is "It hasn't been a day already" YES. The author just plot bomb us (which is a horrible way to start a story), we learn in a single chapter that there's a tree world thing, there are 7 children, the manager is not human nor a divine beast, the director was tied to the tree thing, she couldn't really leave but kinda? There are higher ups but we don't know who they are? What. Once again, all in one chapter. This is too much! How are we supposed to care for the MC if we barely see his feelings on the matter?! We've only really seen two kids and its not even the ones that were there at the funeral! The higher up thing could've come up after he had his first day and actually messed things up! At least, it would give them a reason not to trust him. I just....once again, I don't like where this is going.
