it would actually be really funny if he was all talk and then just folds like wet paper once someone pushes back.

I wonder if he's like this around people who would ostensibly make him swallow his own teeth, or if the dickbag demeanor only comes out if he thinks he's safe (like with Arata - he probably was banking on the "I have blackmail on you, you won't touch me" and didn't consider that Arata might just be at his wit's end with his own mess of problems and was looking to vent).
