Thank you so so much for the simultaneous release!!! This fight was really drawn out, but getting it all at once didn’t make the ending feel like a slog. Amazing work too.
So I didn’t really understand much about how the golems were able to suppress an all-swallowing black hole, when they should’ve just gotten sucked up, right? His polymorphs got sucked up in the same way, but was he using them like a barrier this time…? I understand the massive golem hands because they were larger and had more superior magic at the end there.
Thanks again for the translations!!!
They made a net essentially. You know how people can link arms while sky diving or in water to keep themselves from going all over the place? It's the same principle here.
As stated by the Singularity, such a thing is possible because the golems are made of pure crystallized mana.
The pseudo black hole is meant to absorb as much as possible before exploding, which releases a torrent of mana.
In theory, the torrent of mana should not affect the crystallized mana should there be enough of it, like how the wind wouldn't necessarily affect a large rock. Of course, this is provided that there is enough of said rock.
So with he above points, Akira keeps making golems to cover as much of the pseudo black hole in his golem net as possible. Then makes the golem hands to add pressure to it.
The result is like a rubber ball filled to the brim with air. Too much air, the ball will pop. Too little, the ball will deflate. Akira was banking on the latter happening via outlasting the Singularity's mana.
