I don't think you guys realize that eternal solitude is worse than death.

you can understand it and still disagree with it. rationally I would argue killing him would have been the better choice. The way it is now he could figure out a way or get someone to help him lift that curse and be a nuisance again.

Kinda like with Batman and the Joker. The Joker causes so much death and destruction but Batman just keeps throwing him into Arkham Asylum just for him to break out again and kill some more. Obviously for story reasons it has to be that way, but just through a utilitarian lens at some point someone should've killed the guy, be it Batman or the death sentence through the justice system. (and I say that as someone against the death penalty IRL, but super villains are a different story)

what im talking is how the anime didn't do justice on the adaptation for at least to be decent anime.
(of course i know the anime not even reach this far, it clearly that anime was just LN/manga promotion).

come on, you can clearly notice how Zagan magic rune was supposed to be darker when he become demon lord.
then the bgm and music Choice, ain't no way you all okay with how it not fitting with the situation (it like they just putting any music copyright-free lmao)

the only redeeming feature is Nephy flapping ear being properly adapted

It's pretty normal for there to be some minor design changes between manga and anime so I fail to see an issue

Barbatos being absolutely fucking pissed at the sight of his girl crying gave me the chills. The guy is such a boss in his own manga and here (even way ahead) he is kinda funny like a fallen villain but in truth he's farming so much aura he's like a secret MC.

It is but your missing the tree for the forest. Bifrons is INCAPABLE of interacting with other people he found joy in tormenting Nepth and only threatened others to agitate her/zagan

that option is gone now his loss will eat at him but being who he is he won't put 2 and 2 together .
TLDR he will confine himself to his tower and sulk because he cant grow as a person.

Could work as a punishment for him if he really is that attached to her, but how certain is that he won’t just create something else and obsess with it instead?

You don’t get it, he can try to create another toy all he wants but nothing can replace Nephteros or the special bond he has with her. Nothing will ever be as fun or interesting as her and he will be reminded of that fact every time he creates something else, which is torture for him because that’s all he does. It’s like trying to enjoy your favourite pastime but every time you get a sharp pain that keeps you from enjoying it and it makes you angry and sad.

It was a far better adaptation than old Swordsmaster from the boonies. Four of the best fights in the series got removed and some characters got chunks of characterzation removed.
